Amazing food, everything is extremely fresh, and perfectly cooked, serving is beautiful. Had burgers and monk fish, and it is close to the best I've ever had. I'd highly recommend it both for lunch and dinner.

Visited this restaurant on our chalet staff's day off. Despite being told the whole resort was booked up, we were able to choose our time and the restaurant was not busy. Welcome and the service were first class. Nice to see smiling faces. Even when we had trouble with our rather poor french, the staff were wonderful. The food was just excellent. A delicious and very tasty meal. My husband had the scampi ravioli to start with, which I couldn't help tasting as it smelt so lovely. I had the artichoke soup, a tantalising hot and cold experience, and very light. Main course for me was Turbot, whilst my husband and daughter went for the Grandma's lamb shank stew. Each dish was wonderfully presented and would give many a fine dining restaurant a run for their money. Dessert for my daughter was a freshly baked chocolate fondant, well worth the short wait for it to be cooked. Overall, a great experience, friendly staff, unpretentious atmosphere and fabulous food.

Tucked away behind a bar is a little restaurant which surprised us with its food and ambience. We were welcomed by a warm friendly smile and made to feel totally at home. Our waiter had also worked in our home town of MELBOURNE so his stories of his time in Oz kept us entertained. The place was very cosy without feeling squashed and the waiting staff were extremely attentive. We had some lovely French wine to accompany fish and a lovely piece of steak beautifully done. Dessert was also scrumptious completing a very filling meal. This was a very delightful place to share with family or as a couple. So quaint and would definitely be on our list for the future. La Pause restaurant is one of the only restaurants with well spaced tables (most are very packed tightly due to lack of space on the mountain side). The waiting staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional. The food is amazing quality (small portions but these were perfect for our family), and price reasonable considering the quality. Restaurant is decorated very nicely plus there's a cute cafe/ bar at the entrance. The menu is interesting with several dishes that were new to us. Specials extremely good. Children's dishes as well as those for grown ups although think ours would choose the adult meals next time as they were so good. We ate typical french menu- not the local Savoyard typ...
