"We had originally planned to go to Chez Colette but had not booked and there were no tables at that time and were starved to spend the afternoon kayak on the Dordogne. This place was a beautiful find. The staff is friendly and efficient... and the food is simple, but excellent. We had the Entrecôte Steak, the beef burger and the minced steak and the fried egg. The steak was extremely delicate and cooked for perfection. Water came as standard, there was a wide selection of soft drinks as well as a selection of interesting local bottles of beer. Deserts were mainly Ben and Jerry ice, but waffles etc were also present and the coffee was excellent. The best piece after a simple but excellent meal was the bill. Much less than we both appreciated and they seemed enthusiastic when we left a tip. This is not a posh night, but it was a perfect end for an active day and we will definitely be back."

"We stayed at Le Turenne Hotel we are happy to get a table in the restaurant. Everyone is very friendly and they warn us, it could wait a bit for our food because it slow season they only work 2... people in the kitchen, but man was worth it! First from the wine list is excellent and very well loaded with local gems. But the food made it special. We decided we wanted to feed here when we saw the local Bok Choy waiting outside when we arrived. We both had the Gazpacho and it was killer, unlike normal. My husband had the duck, I chose the cod both were excellent. The desserts characterize b/c, they were just sweet enough. Right. Can't recommend this place very much."

"I gave these 4 stars through the service, which was excellent, efficient and very friendly. we both went for the set menu at 19 €. While not bad value the food was ok, but not great. In particular, id was asked how I wanted to cook my tuna and had asked for pink - it was definitely well done. The wine selection was good and we decided to go for a rose that was very good. The atmosphere was nice to keep in mind, it was early Feb but be a very large room and must be at least 50% full, which it was not calm. Overall a pleasant evening, but think that this place is strongly based on the quality of the service and not on the food"

"Are you looking for a good, very good and cheap meal? Stop in this restaurant! There's no chichis, less than 10 tables and a little caregiver! Do you know many of the restaurants that refuse from the world at noon?! only restaurants that cook fresh and fresh. This is the case of this restaurant! an entrance salad, cabis and honey, fake limousine net and its potato with auvergne blue or chicken back and its veggie flans, cheese plate or almondier and its English cream! "The place is nice, the room staff at the top and reactive. The menu envelops with its great titles but finally in the mouth what disappointment... From beginning to end. It's a shame given the price. Small exception for the chef's specialty the calf ris but you must add 10 extra on the menu... Sketches of snails on bone has very dry marrow, broth with very fat and tasteless ravioli with cherry tomatoes that float in. Kick with bits...2 small sandy bits and even not boned. Vacherin cassis and guimauves... or are the guimauves?? Very dry brownie and we always look for the light cream timut pepper. Brief experience not to renew damage to the framework"
