"Bar Casa Julio, a small casual eatery on the central square, was busy on a Monday evening when many other restaurants are closed. We had a reservation for 9 p.m. When we arrived our table was waiting and all the other tables were full. The dining room is a small space next the bar with a large photo of the sea on the opposite wall. There are a few more tables on the front porch. The menu offers a few specials including a fish of the day, a list of shellfish and a few other fish and some meat dishes as well as salads, starters and boards of cheese or charcuterie. The server immediately recommended the fish of the day, which turned out to be sea bass. We ordered the sea bass and the squid in ink sauce, one of my favorites. The server dissuaded me on ordering the mixed salad saying that the fish came with a large salad. This turned out not to be true as it came with only a couple of slices of tomato on lettuce. The grilled fish was fresh and nicely cooked and was simply plated with unseasoned boiled potatoes and a salad garnish. The tender squid was in a rich ink sauce and served with limp French fries. I’ve seen complaints on Tripadvisor that they were surprised by the price of the fish special. They did not tell us in advance that the fish was 26€, which was high compared to other dishes on the menu, but for us not unreasonable. If you are concerned I would ask the price before ordering the fish of the day. Service is a bit abrupt and pushy but otherwise efficient."

"Cozy restaurant, with a semi-enclosed terrace. Menu of €30 per person, which was what we ordered, they are à la carte dishes. It includes dessert, bread, water, wine (we drank white Viña Albina D. O Rueda) and coffees. Very good quantity and very rich everything. Very attentive staff and advises you perfectly. Parking: There are places in front but there is a lot of demand, another option at the entrance of the town and walk about 200 meters"

"Buscando un buen lugar para comer pescado en este pequeño pueblo, nos encontramos con un hotel llamado El pescador cuyo restaurante nos pareció una excelente elección. Bastante tranquilo, buen servicio y muy buena comida (cantidades generosas y de calidad en mi opinión). Pedimos pulpo a la gallega, frito de pixín y lubina a la espalda. Exceptuando que el pulpo estaba un pelín chicloso, pero con buen sabor, el resto estuvo espectacular destacando la lubina, la cual presentaba una textura y una jugosidad increíbles. El precio es elevado en comparación con otros restaurantes que había por la zona(90€, aproximadamente, contando tres bebidas), pero compensa el trato al cliente y el producto que ofrece. Una apuesta segura si se visita Cudillero."

"Estábamos de vacaciones por la zona y decidimos comer aquí por el precio del menú (12€ . La comida es acorde al precio del menú y el trato ligero y rápido porque hay gente esperando. El problema fue al llegar al postre que nos ofrecieron únicamente dos alternativas (yogur y flan industrial . Bueno, pensamos, las cosas se acaban, pero nuestra sorpresa fue cuando llega el turno de los postres en la mesa de al lado y les ofrecen 6 postres diferentes a elegir. Pedimos una hoja de reclamación y después de darnos largas y pedirnos que subiéramos a las cocinas a ver cómo funcionan, sale una señora ni se presentó por lo que intuyo que era la encargada y de muy mala leche me da la hoja advirtiendo que como la firmara despediría a los dos camareros que nos atendieron. Finalmente el chantaje emocional tiene su efecto en mi y le voy a dar la hoja sin firmar y a pagar pero al ver que no firmo la señora se crece y gritándome me dice que cuidado con lo que hago mientras alza el dedo amenazador. No recomiendo ir allí por el trato, por el chantaje, por jugar con la sensibilidad de las personas ante el desempleo de los demás y por una actitud arisca y maleducada ante un derecho del cliente."

Tables running all over the street, the bustle of people collaborating to place tablecloths and cutlery in each place, identify the tables and their diners... and you begin to imagine that eating in Cudillero TODAY can be a very complicated task, even more so when it is the first weekend of September and there are still many tourists this year to visit the place. You go to El Remo around 1:00 p.m. and ask to be given a table. They are delivered in order of entry and right now they have 3 tables ahead ... I can 't know when those who are sitting down will finish or if they will stay to eat everything is very clear and explained by the person in charge who attends. One of those cakes that are a mazacote when you cut them with a fork or spoon. Good taste and surprisingly, nothing cloying. You let her breathe and realize you can take one more bite. And it starts the loop until you finish it. The attention of the waitresses who serve is as expected, everything is correct.
