"this was a booking that was made with no forethought or planning and the food didn't disappoint Initially our welcome was a bit frosty from who i believe was the owner or manager but we did turn up exactly on time for our booking at 2030hrs when they open and clearly they were not ready for us so we walked around the block When we returned the welcome was a little better but still felt awkward however it improved massively throughout the meal. The waiting staff were superb and by the end we were all laughing a joking together well done to them the food was simply superb. great quality and very traditional we all loved it and would happily return again when next in Madrid. The wine list in particular was very good and at a very reasonable price"

¡Una parada obligada! La comida es deliciosa y sobretodo la hospitalidad de la gente es increíble!! Fernando (Fer) y los demás meseros nos atendieron de primera! Las berenjenas, alcachofas fritas, el ragú, la carbonara, entre muchos otros platos son deliciosos y de postre los canelones y el tiramisú, deliciosos

Restaurante italiano con platos muy diferentes y variados. La atención fue exquisita, de las mejores que he recibido en Madrid (amabilidad, simpatía, buenas recomendaciones, etc). Nos atendió Edgar, pero todo el equipo era excelente igualmente. Los Spaghetti al gambero rosso y el tiramisu muy ricos. Volveremos!!!

Excelente!!! Local sencillo con muy buen ambiente. El servicio fantástico, todo el personal muy atento. Toda la pasta magnífica, el tiramisú fenomenal. En tiempos en que todos los restaurantes italianos de Madrid tienen reseñas que son los mejores de Madrid, de Tavernetta solo puedo decir, tras mi primera experiencia, que es altamente recomendable. Have just returned from an excellent evening at Trattoria La Tavernetta. We could not have wished for a warmer or more enthusiastic welcome, along with totally fresh, home cooked Sicilian inspired Italian food. Not to mention some very well priced wine and prosecco would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an authentic neighbourhood restaurant that is as welcoming to visitors as to regulars.

I do not normally review restaurants online, but I feel compelled to sing the praises of La Tavernetta. First, the food was fantastic. The spicy spaghetti with shrimp was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and left stuffed to the gills. Second, and just as important, the service was stellar. Our waiter was kind, generous, warm, and funny. He charmed us and all three of our children. Highly recommended.
