"We went for dinner to La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi last Friday on our honeymoon. It was a gift from my sister as a wedding present and was intended as the jewel in the crown of our trip. The experience was awful. Unbeknownst to us at the time, my sister had been asked to leave a huge €800 deposit for our meal for 2 persons and after a series of hoops managed to have it reduced to €500. She also requested we were met with glasses of champagne on our arrival and given a special desert and were generally made a fuss of. None of these things happened. The anglophone Maître D' was surly and patronising from the start. We chose the a la carte menu. I had the tribute to Jackson Pollock to start which may be perfect for instagram but was just not very nice, like a decorative mayonnaise painted with squid ink, and then fish with Gaspacho. The fish was tiny and minus any vegetables, alone on its plate the Maitre D' had not recommended side orders to accompany it, and my husband's meal was entirely average while the desert was un remarkable. Every time the Maitre D' came over, the chip on his shoulder seemed to become more evident. I have eaten in some magnificent Michelin starred restaurants where the food is extraordinary to look at and the evening a beautiful performance in both service and fine dining. This wasn't one of them. We were massively disappointed by our evening. I don't know what the bill cost as my sister settled it, but I imagine around €400 500 a very expensive way to be underfed and subtly patronised. We won't be returning. It doesn't cost anything to make people feel welcome on their honeymoon."

Decisamente una delle migliori esperienze culinarie durante le vacanze a Tremezzo/Lago di Como. Rendono tutto così facile anche se sei in un'altra città per prendere il traghetto. Non rimarrai deluso dalla qualità elevata del cibo e del servizio. Spero di tornare presto, veramente sorprendente!

posizione eccezionale, vista dalla terrazza indimenticabile, servizio cordiale, menu piacevole ma senza sorprese. Anche se siete in un hotel di alto livello, ho trovato il valore per i soldi sicuramente non convincente. grazie per averci dato il benvenuto e per averci preso cura durante il nostro soggiorno.

magnifica cena sulla terrazza dell'anno dalla creazione di riso d'oro e zafferano del marquis padrone. il risotto veramente grande e scenografico, il delizioso gocciolante come il rombo in crosta di pane. la terrazza è molto bella e suggestiva e il personale attento e professionale. Ottima esperienza, grazie!

The restaurant is within the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and the setting of all is truly opulent! The dining area is all windows on one side facing Lake Como. The meal was tasty and beautifully presented. Two of the group ordered flambé dessert which was quite an event to see! I particularly loved the dessert I had. We had to literally run for the last ferry across the lake and couldn’t linger maybe next time!

Ho scelto il menu degustazione di 4 portate. Ho iniziato con il gambero come antipasto - la salsa è leggera ma deliziosa, non sovrastando il gambero che è appena cotto per mantenere la freschezza e la tenerezza. Poi il risotto è un capolavoro con aceto aggiunto per evitare la pesantezza del risotto tradizionale. Questo piatto sembra semplice ma ha anche aggiunto delle capesante. Il piatto principale è vitello con foie gras - è così tenero. È indubbiamente piatti fatti con passione.

We were staying at the wonderful Grand Hotel Tremezzo and this Michelin star restaurant was on our list to try!! Simply outstanding and amazing at every level the beautiful room overlooks the lake the amazing staff and the truly amazing food is a lesson to all good restaurants!!! I had a seafood starter which was divine and then had the historic risotto where every buttery mouthful was so delicious!!!each order of risotto is then presented with a certificate of the number of times it has been ordered!! Nice touch the desert was a raspberry and shortbread delight!!! Simply wonderful for the whole experience !!!

The service here was great, they were a bit slow at the start but it was very good once they started bringing the food. They start you off with a complementary egg that is both beautiful and delicious. We ordered the pasta with lobster and it was deliciously tomatoey, the claw on top was amazing. We also got the pasta with scallops and fish and it was absolutely delicious. Later we got the ossobucco with risotto. The risotto wasn’t great but the is ossobuco was amazing it would just melt in the mouth. 4/21/2023- Best Brunch Buffet ever. While the best Vegas buffets offer a lot of variety for about the same price, the Vegas buffets are cafeteria style and cafeteria feel. The grand buffet at Grand Hotel Tremezzo is more elegant and the quality is better. Add in that the dining room looks over Lake Como, it is the best. It was featured in Food and Wine, so we made our reservations six months in advance. Service was excellent. You merely had to lift your head and a wait person made eye contact.
