"Decker's is best known for its amazing cakes, so inventive and delicious. Try the rhubarb meringue for instance. Outdoor, indoor and upstairs tables with riverside view. Big coffee, teas and drinks menu, and light lunches too, all excellent. There's an inviting breakfast menu that you could spend half the day on. If you're there in the autumn, they do "zwiebelkuche mit neuwein" - traditional onion tart with the new season's wine which is deceptively drinkable but can be lethal."

"On a warm day in spring, Ascension Day 2016, was a nice day in the Black Forest, we stopped on the way back to the camp site in Staufen for an ice cream. This place was recommended and I intend to agree with the previous positive reviews. The ice-store is located in the main street in Staufen and with warm wetter, you cannot overlook the queue. It took us about about 10-15 minutes. Is it worth waiting? Yes! I tasted the Muskateller wine ice and the pear-gingerbread. The latter taste was special, it was good, but in the end I will not take it again (not my taste). The first one, Muskateller wine ice, I definitely would reconsider. It's a kind of tasteful sorbet ice. Really good. Score: 4 out of 5"

"first to the good laune: we were here at an extended weekend twice, both times were all the staff members in the service friendly and attentive and also noticeably good mood. the stay has made so much joy again.Then to the ambiente: as the name says - a burestube. but nix annoying or artificially rustic or embarrassed on volklore. most likely to be described as well rural-bourgeois. very pleasant and harmonious.Now for eating: we were there in the spay season and have only flown over the proportion of the non-spargel dishes on the menu. but everyone would have become folly. we have decided once for one of the interesting and very well prepared spa dishes. the spagel directly from the region, butter-species and tasty aromatic, the filet as desired really rare/medium rare, the hollandaise light, fruity. Super.Yes and then the dessert: a teller with ice and sorbet and fruit, which made me go together in the mouth when reading the menu. each component for itself very well, in the combination completely tuned and very beautifully dressed and decorated. better not do this!For the second visit we then ate the only available Baden ochsenfleisch. that was really good!Everything in all: great. if we're back in the opposite we'll be back safely!"

"Other than the yellow jackets swarming our table, which were plaguing the restaurants all over Germany, this was the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely weekend breakfast. Situated right on Staufen's central plaza next to the town hall, be sure and sit outside where you can savor your buffet breakfast while people watching. (Don't miss Saturday market! The buffet choices are typical for Germany...cold cuts, cheese, rolls, eggs, fruit...not heavy on the sweets. (There are plenty of non-buffet baked goods for purchase. My caramel latte was LECKER...not too strong, not too sweet. Service was quietly functional. Despite the annoyance of the yellow jackets, I must say it was fascinating to watch them carve out massive pieces of our meat and fly off trembling with excitement and sheer exhaustion."

"An einem heißen Sommerabend (33°C) zog es meine Frau und mich ins Global Wok. Wohl wegen der Hitze waren wir zunächst die einzigen Gäste. Wir wählten einen der vielen Tische im Freien. Die Speisen- und Getränkekarte (siehe Homepage!) ist - wie bei fast allen ostasiatischen Restaurants - sehr umfangreich. Meine Frau wählte 1/4 Liter Britzinger Weißherbst (3,70 €). Ich entschied mich für 1/4 Liter Müller-Thurgau (3,00 €). Zusätzlich bestellten wir eine Flasche (0,7 Liter) Lieler Mineralwasser (3,50 €). Die Getränke wurden von der Tochter des Hauses kalt und schnell reserviert.Als Vorspeise wählten wir die vietnamesischen Frühlingsrollen (2,50 €). Statt der zwei kamen flugs drei auf den Tisch ("orientiert sich an der Größe!"). Die Frühlingsrollen, die sich meine Frau und ich teilten, waren rösch frittiert, der dazu gereichte Dip süß-pikant. Die beiden Hauptgerichte (Chop-Suey Ente knusprig mit verschiedenen Gemüsen und Ente knusprig mit Thai-Curry und tropischen Früchten) wurden kurze Zeit später heiß serviert. Die Portionen sind groß genug um einen erwachsenen hungrigen Magen zu füllen. Meiner Frau und mir waren sie fast zu groß.Die Ente mit tropischen Früchten meiner Frau war pikant gewürzt und mundete ihr hervorragend. Meine Ente Shop-Suey war in Scheiben geschnitten, die Haut so knusprig - wie man das von chinesischen Restaurants gewohnt ist. Das Gemüse hatte noch Biss. Die Sauce war etwas zu dickflüssig, allerdings geschmacklich hervorragend.Die Preise im "Global Wok" sind extrem günstig. Kein einziges Gericht kostet über 10 € - ausgenommen Spezialgerichte oder Menüs für zwei Personen. In der umfangreichen Speisekarte finden sich Suppen, Vorspeisen, Salate, Reis-Gerichte, Nudel-Gerichte, Hühnerfleisch-Gerichte (gebraten oder paniert), Hähnchen-Gerichte (knusprig), Enten-Spezialitäten, Schweinefleisch-Gerichte, Rindfleisch-Gerichte, Meeresfrüchte-Gerichte, vegetarische Gerichte, Salate als Hauptgericht, Kindergerichte und Spezialmenüs für eine oder mehr Personen sowie Desserts.Die Getränkekarte enthält alkoholfreie Getränke, heiße Getränke, Spirituosen, Biere (Brauerei Fürstenberg), Longdrinks, Sekt, Getränke aus China sowie zehn verschiedene offene Weine, der Großteil aus Britzingen. Die Preise sind unschlagbar günstig.Fazit: Wer gut und günstig chinesisch essen möchte, wird im "Global Wok" bestens bedient und wird mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit wiederkommen."
