take the local specialities and they will be in the 7th heaven. weine are excellent and everything on the menu is top-class. the staff is very friendly and helpful.

typical German cuisine, plenty of food, delicious meals. we visited a special occasion and we were very satisfied with eating and service. and we spend a really nice weekend.

We were invited by friends for dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Very nice building and cozy restaurant. We chose one of the fixed menus with plenty of starter and main course choices. Beautiful dessert AND cheese buffet. Great local wines. Absolutely recommended, but make reservations,...as people come from far away to dine there. Charming hotel attached to it, which we did not try this time.

this is the most fabulous place to stay, beautiful large comfortable rooms with a terrace. the wellness center is built and will be finished very soon, this will be a fabulous to relax. the restaurant both eat and personal are from the highest standard a great experience around. they would recommend to stay here for a few nights, they will not be disappointed. special mention to antonia, who helped us so welcome and with our German

We spent a great weekend at this hotel. The restaurant serves excellent breakfasts, with a wide range of cut up fruits, different types of breads and rolls, home made preserves, cold meats and all the other needed goodies, including eggs and bacon. Evening dinner is...very good, nicely served by friendly staff. It's worth trying the set menu which is great money value. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. What else do you need? The outer courtyard on a warm summer night is lovely to dine in. Our waitress was wonderful, attentive and you could not wish for more. Unfortunately a big function of some 30 fellow diners slowed down the kitchen to an extend that our dining experience...lasted 3.5 hours. The entree on the house (local ham in watermelon juice) did not quite work for us. In the end our desert was forgotten and when the panna cotta arrived it was more panna liquida than cotta. However the scallops, deer and sashimi were cooked and presented to perfection, and all the waiting was forgotten when a very nice bottle of wine on the house was offered. I stayed in a family room, which was spread out on 3 levels. The lack of an elevator was a bit of a problem since the room was on the 2nd floor. The bathroom and the living area were at the bottom, then 2 bedrooms...were on the 2nd level, and a small open bedroom on the 3rd. Having to walk downstairs to go to the bathroom during the night was the only problem in this arrangement. Also, the bathroom only has a bath gel/shampoo in a dispenser, so additional toiletries must be brought in by the guest. The hotel restaurant is very good. This is going to be my first 5 star review. I hope to make more, but I don 't take that lightly. In short, my experience eating here was excellent. I couldn 't have asked for more. It was exciting and surprising, and not just because the...entire menu was in German. The restaurant is so clearly influenced by French cuisine (which makes sense since Heitersheim is so close to the border), but it puts a twist on things.
