"On a previous visit to St. Omer we had tried to eat here but alas we were turned away because every table was taken. So, this time we booked and what a great decision it was.The welcome we received was very nice and the service provided was of a constantly high standard. Following our aperitifs our first course arrived and the snails I had ordered were superb, presented in a casoulette in a wonderful creamy garlic sauce. Fantastic! We both ordered steaks for mains, my wife had a rump which she said was the best steak she'd had for years, and my faux fillet was equally as enjoyable.Washed down with a very pleasant red wine we enjoyed an absolutely great meal and it's easy to see why this restaurant is always very busy.In a town where there is a huge choice of restaurants this has got to be one of the best and we look forward to eating here again on our next visit to St. Omer."

Delicious food. Wonderful caipirinha and wine. Very helpful staff. But we were lucky to get the last unreserved table. Best to book ahead.

Ate here two nights running, on the second evening we weren't very hungry, so just had a starter and dessert...... No problem. Helpful, cheery staff. Great charcuterie. Modern feel, worth a visit.

This restaurant changed name some two years ago having been previously called Le Vieux Marche. Visited the establishment for over twelve years and the standard has not changed. An excellent steak cooked to perfection once again !!

Dined on Friday and Saturday last. People were being turned away from opening time as all tables were booked. As always, Maxime was the perfect host and the food was faultless. Nothing on the menu that I can't recommend. Thanks again for your hospitality.

A real surprise. This restaurant has a modern feel with red and black decor and low tables and comfortable chairs. We enjoyed an excellent meal for 4 here and would recommend it. The pasta and pizzas were very good, the service was friendly and efficient. We were not hurried despite it being busy. Recommended!

Nice looking tapas bar in the heart of the town. Limited choice so I had meat and she had vegetarian. The meat consisted of cold cuts and only one hot dish of snails au gratin. Very nice but not terribly inspiring. The vegetarian was bland and was little more than chopped vegetables with a thin guacamole. Wont be back.

Still the best place in town for welcome, atmosphere and food. Last Saturday evening was fully booked before they opened and this is not unusual!Thanks once again to Maxime, Loic and new girl Elodie at the front of house and equally important the people in back for producing the food. A most enjoyable couple of evenings once again. There's nothing on the menu that I don't recommend and there isn't much now that I haven't tried.

Some the staff speak excellent English if you need this. The food was good if unadventurous. I had salmon fillet which was a large portion served with mainly rice. The salmon was cooked well. My husband's steak was a bit chewy though. Dessert of profiteroles was enormous - filled with ice cream instead of cream with a rich chocolate sauce. We saw other people having pizza and they looked good. If you want proper french food or fine dining this is not the place for you but it was good for generous portions and friendly service.
