"We have only visited Balaruc les Bains in more clement weather before but this time it was blowing gales and freezing cold. We needed lunch and hoped a restaurant would be open easy to park nearby fortunately we came upon Le Belouga. Although the general feeling was they had only just opened and were' learning the ropes' as it were we had a very good lunch. My companion had a superb steak from Carmargue beef perfectly cooked and I had the seafood risotto which was creamy, delicious and full of scallops. The desserts were equally good and the service was very polite and efficient. Another time, if it is a windy, cold day we shall not choose a seat near the door as every time it opened we froze."

Service a little slow to seat you but finally got a good seat. On the whole the meal then service was good, too bad that they don't do an evening service.

family lunch, excellent grilled wolf with crunchy vegetables. The salad is very well served. asked for a vegan dish, okay vegetables grilled impeccable. We've had a lot of fun. the service was friendly though a little long but overall very correct. I recommend.

Spent brilliant evening meals, freshly cooked and a varied menu. Also spent some early evenings sitting outside with drinks and talking to the owner etc. Staff are very attentive and caring. They speak enough English to understand or translate the menu. Food was delicious.

Disappointing meal, theservice was unfriendly, plates were banged down in front of you with no smile or bon appetite. My friend and I had Salade Nicoise and Cesar Salad, both salads lacked freshness, quality ingredients and resembled nothing like what they are meant to be. Both my friend and I were ill the next day with nausea and stomach cramps!

We have visited Balaruc les Bains over several years and have always stopped at this restaurant to eat an ice cream. Positives The ice creams are always very well presented and there always plenty to eat. The restaurant is situated right next to beach giving a good view of the lagon and Sete. Service is generally quick we visit in the afternoon when there are less people present). Good choice of ice creams. Negatives The ice creams are on the pricey side but you do get a good view and they are on the large side.

"La Marine Restaurant exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We had come to Sète earlier than our reservation time thinking we would walk around the town, but we stopped by the restaurant to see where it was located, saw our name on our table (outside, our dog was with us . We identified ourselves to the staff and they immediately asked if we preferred to sit then or wait. We sat down for an amazing meal. For an amuse-bouche, there was a fresh and delicious tapenade served in shot glasses with toasted baguette slices. The staff promptly brought water for our dog. We then enjoyed Bouzigues oysters (a fresh batch which we saw the chef/part owner Magali cart into the restaurant straight from the Halles location! and Couteaux or razor clams in garlic, olive oil and parsley. Both were a revelation. I had a delicious rosé Nino, served by pouring it via a funnel into the bottle corresponding to the volume I ordered and put on ice. My wife enjoyed the Dos de cabillaud (cod and I loved my loup de mer entier. Both served with delicious vegetables and potatoes. We didn’t have dessert but we’re offered a shot of a sweet Muscat wine and little chocolate lava cakes as a sweet send off. All for $95 US. We can’t wait to return. All the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and cared for. Don’t miss this wonderful restaurant! They also give cooking classes at their sister restaurant Halles et Manger in Sète Halles."
