The choice was limited to the typical pizza/pasta plates. Food was good but not special. Perfect for a lunch when you don’t want to spend a lot of time. Friendly waiter! Not expensive for paris!

Plusieurs déjeuners dans ce restaurant de la rue de Castellane dans le 8ème arrondissement de Paris. Rien d’extraordinaire dans la cuisine. Choix important. Majoritairement des repas d’affaires ou entre personnels de bureaux. D’autres choix possible dans la rue, y compris pour des repas italiens.

My wife And I were looking for something straight forward and simple for dinner. And reasonably priced didn’t hurt either. Le Cardinal hit the spot. Not a huge selection of offerings, 5 pizzas, a couple of pastas, a fish dish, a meat dish or two. I had a pizza, my wife had a pasta with chicken. Was hot from the kitchen and tasted great. We were satisfied.

WE went without a reservation [on Thursday] and was seated immediately. Waiters were knowledgeable about menu and didn't hurry you. Appetizer selection was good not to pricey. I had the Linguine with white clam sauce and the portion was not to much and very flavorful. As mentioned above the table service was excellent. Will dine there again when I return.

Nous avons été les premiers à tester La fourchette chez ce restaurant et c'était Super ! Service sympa et souriant, et c'est rapide et efficace. La nourriture est Super bonne. J'avoue que les prix ne sont pas donnés mais c'est conforme pour Paris centre. Avec La belle remise de la fourchette, nous avons pu profiter de super bons plats à un super prix. Mention spéciale au patron très sympa et authentique italien !

My wife, my two kids (9 & 6) had dinner here. Staff were very friendly. Kids had pizza which was demolished in 5 mins. Wife had cod which was very nice. I had steak which was good quality, although a little overcooked. Note meals come with exactly what they say on the menu, so the cod had no potatoes and the steak had no veg; order side dishes if you need extra stuff. We all had chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert which was the best I've had for a long time.

We visited here on three separate evenings, before returning to our nearby hotel. The first time we arrived, they were getting ready to close, with some people still finishing their meals. They welcomed us in, even although we were only having drinks. The prices for a carafe of wine and spirits plus mixer, were nowhere near as expensive as the bar at the opposite end of the road. That apart, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are friendly and we had fun trying out our limited French with them. Too bad they could not cater for my friend who is wheat/gluten intolerant as we would most certainly have eaten here as the food we could see being served, looked delicious.
