In the middle of the quartier latin is this restaurant of Swiss and French food. ehace a few years ago we had gone (with colder) and ate an excellent fondue. This time (due to heat) we asked for other dishes, which did not drop us as much as the fondue. I'd come back for another chance anyway.

very good! a five for me is quite rare so that this was still very nice for us. because there was a continuous service restaurant we went early and it was nice and quiet for our family beige the place filled. we had the menu. that was a prix fixe. they had three flats. we had the ham and kesekrepp as starter. rindfleisch bourgogne for our main and followed with dessert by crème brûlée. we had a great time, sammy was patient with my poor French, but I had to switch against him immediately to English, which I appreciated! many thanks!

It had been over a year since we visited the restaurant but our first welcome was very warm, despite the busy time of day. My husband brought me back to Paris for my birthday and top of my wish list was the Chalet St Michel...as I had very fond memories of a previous visit. It more than lived up to those memories, all three times we ate there (and we were only in Paris for a week Our best meal was a fab onion soup, raclette, moules avec frites meal we all shared with a couple of verre aux vin and lovely fresh baguette. Walking through Saint Michel area and stumbled on this place. The reviews here and on Yelp where pretty good. Good Wine list and variety of dishes on menu. Mainly a fixed price type place. Cute decor. The food was very good and wine better. One sort of complaint was service. I guess this is somewhat typical in Paris, especially Left Bank, but they seemed to sort of careless if you are there or not. Service was not slow or delayed and they made an adjustment to menu for my picky eater daughter. Just something about him that made you afraid he was going to yell at you if you did something wrong (Soup Nazi from Seinfeld) Good place and maybe we hit servers on a bad day. We wondered what this would be like after reading some of the reviews which suggested it had gone down hill and wasn’t as good. We ate there three times in our eight days in Paris on this trip. The atmosphere is still as wonderful as...ever. Still very French. Extensive menu and helpful staff. The meal on the first night was REALLY GOOD. The big lunch the four of us had on Sunday was the best meal we had in Paris by far and it was under euros, including drinks. Back from our trip, we couldn’t but get back to say a big thank you to this wonderful place. First, the food was delicious. We tried onion soup, duck in orange sauce, steak in pepper sauce and panna cotta. The food was served very quickly though we came just at lunch time. My dream was to try onion soup and I wasn’t disappointed at all! The rest was tasty, too. We also liked the compliment from restaurant – a bottle of cold water (good deal for hot weather) and a loaf of baguette.The interior of the place creates the atmosphere of the hunting lodge somewhere in mountains: stuffed animals, wooden furniture etc.And a few words about the staff.
