"Visited during Easter weekend break with our vegetarian son. Excellent service, lucky to have arrived when restaurant opened it's doors at 7:30. By 8pm restaurant was full and rather noisy as tables are all very close together. We ordered starters, onion bhaji this was delicious, plus raita and pakora which were also very good. For mains, vegetable curry, butter chicken these were ok lacking some spices though this is very usual in Indian restaurants in France. My husband ordered the Karachi lamb which was very good, very tender though again missing some spices. Portions were very small, which was fine for me but only just enough for son and husband. We also ordered nan breads and rice, rice was not included and cost 5:95 euros! Total bill 90 euros, one soft drink each as they do not serve alcohol."

After having been made to recommend karachi repeatedly by the locals, my husband and I finally dine there tonight with friends.

We been to this restaurant after the reviews on here, the restaurant was full of customers, fortunately we found a table with out reservation, the food wasn't so tasty at all, we had for the starter mixed grilled tandoori , the lamp and chicken wasn't juice at all , you need to chewing more than normal to swallow the food , the main course was not bad , but we don't believe will come back to this restaurant again.

We found this Pakistani restaurant close to our hotel; eating South Asian food was a welcome break from the richness of traditional Lyonnaise cooking. The staff was attentive, the decor was suggestive of Pakistan without being tacky or overdone. The portions were generous and the food was good. Only downside: as the menu explains in some detail, because of their cultural background and beliefs, the management does not serve alcohol or allow it in the restaurant.

Food was good by European standards (being from London which serves the best Indian food in my view). Got my spice kick. Biryanis super as was the chicken curry (on the bone!) and daal. My family ate every last morsel and enjoyed the lassis. We would have liked to ability to have some wine with our meal, but that was not possible as was restricted. In London again, we have such venues where one can bring their own drinks. Good ambience and very friendly service. Would go again.

Working first in Bordeaux and now in Lyon , a week without a Indian meal is a hard call living in the !So we had evening here, a great appearance when walking in fine decor& a great atmosphere .We ordered off a superb menu with a great choice! "Drinks sir" yes I'll have a beer please " sorry sir this is a none alcohol establishment " now to say I was disappointed is a understatement. My colleague doesn't drink much be he to was knocked back !!!!Apart from this minor set back the food was superb not a standard run of the mill Indian restaurant, a little personal in their food & presentation and quality, a great Diet Coke too!

This place serves up some really good food for reasonable prices.Arrived a bit late enroute from the Alps to Lyon airport and wanted some good grub (so avoided going to the airport to eat); sadly there wasnt a table available for almost an hour.. So Reservation recommended! The place was full and buzzing. Still the restaurateur served up some quick take away which we were able to enjoy. Authentic taste, reasonably priced. We were a party of too wanting some Vegetarian food on the day, the daal was good as was the Baingan Bharta (curried Aubergine mash). I would happily recommend this place to anyone fancying some Indo/Pak food, very tasty indeed.

"My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night (having made a reservation several days in advance), and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in France in a long time. We reserved for the early seating, showed up on time, and were among the first customers there. We had a small table near the door. The disadvantage is that we were occasionally wafted by a cold draft from the front door. The bigger advantage was that we were sitting near the restaurant's beautiful, precision, hand-operated meat slicer. The specialty starter is beef that has been cured for seven months with seven spices. It is sliced paper thin (and that is no exaggeration) and served heaped on a plate. Heavenly. My wife and I ordered only one of these plates and it was more than ample for the two of us.That was followed by our starters. I ordered the minestrone marocain légèrement épicé comme à Tanger (Moroccan minestrone, lightly spiced as in Tangiers), and my wife the rillettes de crabe aux petits légumes et Granny Smith (shredded crab with little vegetables and pieces of Granny Smith apple). Both were delicious. For our main dishes I had a pavé de cerf (deer steak), which was ample and perfectly cooked. My wife had fish, also cooked to perfection. I don't recall the wine we ordered, but the choice was from wines that were at their peak (not just wines one or two years old), yet the prices were reasonable. One remark about the decore: it manages to be a bit traditional and modern at the same time, with reproductions of paintings by Modigliani and various early 20th-century (mainly French) artists adorning the wall.Overall, a restaurant worth going out of your way for."
