This is not our first visit to the limestone shelter and it will not be there last. This restaurant is at the top at all levels. For us this restaurant is the one that best represents the true spirit of Megève. Thanks to Chief Stéphane Soquet.

Perfect setting, you have to get there on foot in refuge mode (very short walk but it's the concept that counts). Arriving on site, the welcome is very warm and professional for a gourmet moment with Savoy products. The decor is also there to have a good time at the refuge.

As far as we are concerned, it is the best restaurant in Megève. Stéphane gives us a healthy and tasty local cuisine. This chef travelled a lot and worked in starred restaurants. This feels in the presentation and composition of its dishes. The setting is magnificent, far from the bling bling of Megève and its overrated restaurants.

La Refuge du Calvaire in Megéve flawlessly combines the sophistication of French cuisine with the vibrant flavors of the local region. The cosy atmosphere, impeccable service and a menu that showcases quality ingredients make for an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant is a hidden gem just a short walk up the hill but is well worth the climb.
