Wonderful location right on the lake. The food was also very good, but the portions were small. The service could be better, the orders were forgotten several times. If you can get this under control, it would be enough for 5 stars.

We had a reservation for the Silex. The view from the terrace was nice, especially if you like boats, since the marina is right in front of the Silex. But behind it there is the lake and the mountains and practically no buildings to obstruct the view. The service was very nice, quick and courteous. The food was really delicious and although the portions were small, it was enough to be full at the end.

Yesterday was our 27th wedding anniversary. My wife had booked at Silex for 7 p.m. See you there when you get home from work. Arriving in the parking lot at 6:40 p.m., my sweetheart receives a call from Silex: the storm is brewing and there is no longer enough room for us in the room. Turned away like passengers on an overbooked flight, we fell back on China-Town just next door. Even if the evening was very nice, it leaves a strange taste to see our reservation at Silex canceled... a first for us, despite our great age;

Right on the lake, the ambience is awesome! Outside on the terrace or in the lounge you can enjoy the view of the lake and the peace and quiet. The menu is manageable and still stocked with enough fish and meat. If you can't decide on the starters, it's best to take the platter like me. The service is very attentive and professional and the food came super fast. The portions seemed large at first, but were extremely filling. Luckily there was still room for dessert, which was excellent! The restaurant is a short bus or car journey from Neuchâtel and is well worth a visit!
