"My wife and I were pleasantly surprised on our recent visit on Saturday 3rd March. The soup of the day (Carrot and Coriander) was superb with croutons and two large wedges of bread (choice of 5 styles). This is a great improvement on previous visits. The only doubt i have is the questionable decision to make this at seat service instead of cafeteria style. The day of our visit was quiet due to the weather and the service was quick and served up by a great gentlemen on the till whose name I do not remember, but he is truly an asset to the restaurant, as nothing was too much trouble and in my opinion went beyond the call of duty to satisfy us. However, on a busy day, I think this will be a very challenging service style, unless there is sufficient staff to make it work. I do hope this does work, as one part of the story is now getting better, in the quality of the food."

Really disappointing. Frozen pizza, Burgers, Baked Potato and Fish n Chips. I'm afraid that says it all.

As other reviews, one doesn't have a great deal of choice is visiting the Motor Museum. Choice is take your own or visit this restaurant.

The restaurant is quite nice although it would be better described as a cafeteria as it is self service, large number of tables but probably not good on a busy day, luckily for us not too many people there.

Great choice of foods in great setting . Realistic prices., the national motor museum is all do one of the new forests hidden treasures. Make sure you visit the manor house and talk to the ladies in period costume.

A fantastic place for a coffe/tea and cake in the morning. The lunches are really good as well. Plenty of room both inside and out. Sitting outside you can view the grounds of Beaulieu and also watch the old bus taking visitors around the grounds.Highly recommended.

We had a great day at Beaulieu.at lunch time we had a good variety of choice. My grandson chose his five selections to go in a bag, we ordered two handmade pizzas and chips to share, and which were delicious. the service was reasonably quick as the pizzas had to be prepared and cooked from scratch. there was plenty of variety from sandwiches to other hot or cold choices too.

Visited on a double decker bus from Reading on the new Vamooz service. I last visited Beaulieu in the early 1980s so it was great to return for a super day out. Lunch was fish and chips, real mushy peas and a gherkin. Pudding was a fresh cream Victoria sandwich. Drinks were a small bottle of white wine and a quite good Americano coffee. As I’m disabled I had great customer service from the staff, particularly the two restaurant managers.

Based centrally in the museum grounds it’s a good self serve cafe/ restaurant that serves homemade cakes scones etc, you can get hot food, tea coffee and prices are reasonable, in summer there is also an area to sit outside, it’s larger than you can see and has toilets on lower area, when we visited they had a lovely poster display of different scenes and subjects. Good place to stop and recharge your batteries on your journey around Beaulieu.

"My Wife and I don't travel so well these days but decided to go a little further afield from our usual Highcliffe and Christchurch haunts we live in Mudeford. We went twice in point of fact. The first visit was the 21st June when My wife and I had a quiet Birthday celebration lunch prior to the Family celebration later in the day. It was excellent. We only had the Mains and despite it being busy and not having booked we were served promptly and cheerfully with a round of drinks. My Wife had Chicken Pie and I had Liver and Bacon. Both were excellent and my Wifes vegetables were freshly done. I don't have vegetables. We liked it so much we went back three days later to celebrate our youngest Daughters birthday and again had lunch before the Family celebration later in the day. The meal was as fabulous as three days prior. My Wife had a Chicken Roast, our Daughter had Beef Roast and I had an amazingly well filled Steak and Merlot Pie of the Week. As before the vegetables were freshly done. Unusually for us we also had puddings (Lemon Meringue, Bailey's Cheescake and Apple Tart with Custard. All were excellent. All washed down with Tea and a Latte the former being served in nicely twee Teapots. Total cost £80 for the three of us on the second visit. Worth every penny. All in all First Class and couldn't fault it. Disabled parking nicely located in the front with ample parking for those more mobile at the side and back. Just a note for History buffs. The main building was built in 1853 by John Harrison(? a Carpenter thus the name Carpenters Arms."
