"For our appetizers, we both ordered the scallops. They were large, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious. I chose the red deer for my main course, which was juicy and tender, while my wife had the beef, which was equally delightful. For dessert, we indulged in the apricot frangipani tart and chocolate mousse—both were exceptional. Overall, we had a fantastic meal at a reasonable price. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the selection and quality of wines by the glass. If you find yourself near Dundee, definitely book a table here and treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience!"

"Not the greatest, very disappointed with award winning pie which was definitely not cooked long enough, ended up with stomach cramps, then violently sick a few hours later which was no coincidence and certainly not fun to try to deal with. Expensive for food and drink also, never again! Looking at the negative business reviews, I can see that when the business owner receives one they instantly blame the reviewer (see reply by owner to this review also) but maybe the owner would get on better with current, previous and even future customers if they didn 't do this and instead just put their hands up and apologised, lucky I did not contact environmental health. Remember the number 1 rule of running a business the customer is always right . Will definitely pop in and visit your business at some point to sort out this matter directly with yourself as your food made me very ill. Will be telling as many family members, work colleagues and my large group of friends to stay clear of your business due to your attitude as the business owner alone. With your very bad attitude, simply shocked to say the least. I live nearby in Monifieth so plenty local people to tell, some of which I know visit your business occasionally if plenty money. Thank you very much for your kind words."

"The restaurant welcomed us warmly and provided polite service throughout our meal. Our food was served promptly at first, but as the restaurant got busier, we had to wait longer. The staff asked about allergies and dislikes to ensure we wouldn't be served anything we couldn't eat, and they also offered us the vegetarian option. However, we felt cramped in our corner table as the restaurant filled up, making it difficult to get up to use the restroom without disturbing other diners. Despite this, the food was delicious and we enjoyed the new experience."

"Went to Bombay Joe’s last night for the high tea. Absolute value for money. We took our Son as he was back from Edinburgh Napier University. The high tea consists of a starter each, a main course with rice and a dessert or coffee. Naan...bread comes as an extra. We ordered a peshwari naan a garlic naan and a chapati. Every one on them were cooked to perfection. So crispy and packed with flavour. I decided on the chicken Karachi for main and the Tempura king prawns for starters. The whole meal was fantastic. There was so much I couldn’t eat it so that boxed it up for me to take the rest home. It’s quite a spicy dish but the flavours were lovely. My Husband and Son decided on the veg pakora for starters and the Chicken Madras for main. My husband had the coffee to finish off with. I couldn’t eat or drink anything else as I was so full so they doubled up on my Sons ice cream. The service was fantastic, just a nice period of time between each course and served with a smile. The house white wine is very nice too. Each one has been chosen by the owner himself. We usually get our takeaway from Bombay Joe’s and I’ve never had a curry that I’ve not liked. It’s well worth every penny. I would wholly recommend this restaurant for both sit in and takeaway. You won’t be disappointed."
