"The actual cafe itself is nice, set in a lovely location, but unfortunately the staff seem to have been instructed not to smile. My mother 's fruit scone was flat/tasteless and when she complained to what we assumed was the manager, she was quite dismissive/stated that the cheese scones looked ok (what difference does that make? ! and offered nothing in the way of compensation (Visited New Year 's Eve 2021 . A real shame as this could be a great cafe, given the location, but, as the old saying goes: 'If you don 't look after your customers, someone else will '."

Breakfast spoilt only by cheap and really awful tasting red and brown sauce in sachets. Bring back the HP and Heinz!

Lovely large cafe near to great walks. Dog friendly, lots of outside seating, lots of parking, good coffee and the BBB (breakfast bun) was lovely.

Lord Stones Restaurant is situated in a picturesque location, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. We stopped in for some coffee, which was excellent, and the service was top-notch. Visualizza piatti

We were camping on site and found the cafe/restaurant to be excellent no matter what time we visited. The dinners and breakfasts were lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was very well-prepared. The setting was amazing.

The cafe at Lordstones is smart and roomy with extra seating outside. There is a good menu of hot meals, snacks, sandwiches etc and the prices are most reasonable. We had very good tea and coffee and our accompanying toasted tea cakes were top class.

Set in a beautiful location and surrounded by the wonder that is the English countryside. Decent cafe with lots of choice and good quality food and drink. Not particularly inexpensive but I suppose given the location the cafe is pretty much take it or leave it. Nevertheless my family and I had a nice stop off at the cafe and enjoyed the refreshments. Disappointed Again, We thought we give the cafe a second chance as previous visits have been a disappointment Staff un helpful And require training on waiting on tables , staff behind counter unfriendly and rood Burgers are dry with salad inside followed by a slice of bacon with melted cheese on which has clearly been sat under a food warmer Chips , cheap oven chips. Not worth £27 for two hot drinks and two burgers

I visited this restaurant today after hiking part of the Cleveland Way. They have a large, free parking lot. The cafe was wonderful. We ordered cappuccinos, cake, and a bacon sandwich. The coffee was hot and delicious, and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and quick. The restaurant has a nice indoor area and a spacious outdoor seating area with plenty of shade. The bathrooms were clean. Overall, it was an excellent experience that we would recommend and definitely return to.

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
