As I'm trying to stick to a healthy (-er) lifestyle lately, I popped in recently opened Maple & Fitz to grab juice as a mid-afternoon snack.

I've had 3 salad boxes from here and they were all equally delicious. I usually just ask for a selection of all of them and the staff oblige me. My new favourite take away salad spot.

I was eager to try this restaurant because I love salads. However, when I walked in, the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful when I asked about the salads. I ordered anyway, but was disappointed by the small portion size. The bill came to just under 10 pounds. The food was decent and the flavors were okay, which was the only positive aspect of my visit. The service was off-putting and the small portions would make me hesitant to return.

I usually don't write reviews, but I had two terrible experiences at Maple and Fitz on Berners Street. The Poached egg and Avocado toast was served cold, which was strange. The Skinny smoothies were awful and at over £4, you expect to at least be able to finish it. One staff member made me feel very uncomfortable by staring at me while I tried to choose from the menu, continuing to stare even after I left the building, and never saying please or thank you. I took the a box of chicken and rice. The smell coming out of it was so horrible I had to chuck it in. I could smell it all the way to the office and once I arrived to the office everyone was looking at me asking if I brought fish... I myself couldn't bare the smell either. Disgusting. The woman has also put it in a bag that didn't fit the box standing so I had to hold the bag flat... nevertheless the huge amounts of smelly sauce spilled out making a huge mess..Seriously??? I only got stains everywhere and spent money for nothing. The smell was so disgusting I couldn't bear eating a bite of it, it went straight to the bin.

This is my favourite lunch spot. I've been a frequent customer since it opened. The food is amazing fresh and filling. It is pricey but the portion sizes and quality make it totally worthwhile. They also have a loyalty stamp card which entitles you to freebies after a certain amount of visits. I've never had a bad meal here, and the staff are absolutely lovely too. I'd rate it 9/10. The only reason I wouldn't give 10/10 is the lack of seating. Staff use the window seating as their office which is depriving paying customers of the chance to eat inside, especially during winter. At times, it's made me turn away. But otherwise couldn't recommend Maple&Fitz highly enough!

Went for a quick workday lunch with my other half, we both had a medium salad with small portion of protein costing 8.95, can get similar lunches from most healthy or veggie places nearby for a lot cheaper. Flavours were underwhelming and gave the feeling of you could do this much better at home (in particular the cauliflower Italian dish) which isn 't what you want for a premium priced lunch. These boxes would need to be at least 3 quid cheaper before we would consider going back again as for £9 we could get a really amazing lunch nearby that is healthy too. Also I think if the salads were cheaper people would naturally get a drink too , we both refrained although we wanted coffee but going... Visualizza piatti
