"... we expect the well-known and proven “Maredo” quality here and have received it again this time. We stayed here on a Monday evening and wanted to have a good seat on the outdoor terrace in the beautiful weather, to enjoy from here the unique view of Dresden's world-famous landmark of the Frauenkirche and the joyful life on the new market, at a nice meal. Also the note that due to the many guests, reservations for the outdoor area are not accepted. This usually means that you have to wait until a table becomes free. Because the “Maredo” was already very well visited even on a Monday evening. But what for us is always a sign that food must also be good. As it is known that so many guests cannot be mistaken, where they taste and where there is also a good price performance ratio. Despite the many guests, our food was served quite quickly. In any case, we did not regret it and had ordered us to add to a delicious black beer, as an appetizer the highly recommended “grilled shrimps refined with garlic and herbs” that were served stylishly in a “Cazuela”. We paid 8,50. €, but this appetizer was the money, definitely worth it. Then there was my mandatory “Rib Eye Steak” (the juicy piece from the high rib) for approx. €16 and my wife had marinated “ chicken breast in herbs and garlic”, with fries for approx. € 10 (see photos). In summary, we found that we did not regret to visit the “MAREDO Steakhouse” and should be close again, we will definitely come back."

the restaurant powder tower is a great adventure restaurant at the Frauenkirche. the powder tower is not a tower but a great cellar vault. the foods are delicious and the selection is very appealing. the service is dressed to fit the ancient Saxon court-state ambience and the communication is also adapted. you can also experience corresponding funny cultural contributions. with beautiful weather the beer garden is very well visited and often hard to get a place. in general, it is advisable to reserve pre-sites. similar ambiente is in the sophienkeller opposite the zwinger.

Unfortunately, this time I have to make a very negative assessment. our waiter (a small thinner) was very good and has served us excellently. for the steaks, he can't really do anything.
