Really not great, the food was pretty dam awful and the service really wasn’t much better. We certainly won’t be giving this establishment another try.

Excellent food. Two carveries and two “normal” meals. Carvery was amazing. Beautifully cooked meet and well presented and perfectly cooked accompaniments. Really good. Well done Craig the carvery chef. See you next time

huge disappointment again , third time now in last 2 month. carvery use to be very good,not any more .food not hot even when busy. they offer to microwave it for you,if I wanted a microwave meal I would go to iceland. won't be going back. Visualizza piatti

We called in tonight for a carvery and as always 1st class. Very good variety of vegetables. Becky very professional and helpful. Highly recommend. Ps if you have the carrot cake as a desert do not have a big meal . Looking forward to going back soon.

My husband and I had the most fantastic lunch date last week. The service was exceptional and the food was incredibly delicious! Sarah, the new manager, was amazing - so welcoming and friendly. Mark, the head chef, was also very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. All of the staff seemed happy and the restaurant was spotless. We will definitely be returning soon!

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday today with 10 people, including 2 young children, at this restaurant. The food was excellent, with everything cooked perfectly, and our son's rare steak was done just right. The staff were very friendly and engaging, and went out of their way to be accommodating to the children. Karina took great care of us. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I went to The Tavern with my family for dinner. There were three adults and one child in our group. Unfortunately, the food took an incredibly long time to arrive. We arrived at 7.15pm and didn't get our meals until an hour later. While the food was okay, it wasn't anything special. The Wexford Chicken lacked flavor and the House Salad with Chicken and Bacon was soggy. It was disappointing to see that the bacon seemed to have been sparingly added to the dish. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

We ordered the small carvery which was served on what you would call a side plate. However due to the quality of the food you wouldn 't want a large one. The roast beef wasn 't bad, parsnips would need a saw to cut through them roast potatoes tasted like boiled spuds chucked in some old cooking oil. Yorkshire pud was rock hard on top and had a soggy bottom. Food was just about warm enough to eat but went cold quite soon. The vegetables are obviously not being replaced until the serving dishes are empty and are languishing on some sort of inferior hot plate for too long. The only staff seemed to be two pleasant young girls who were doing everything. Would not recommend. The prices for the Pub...

Joined friends for a drink they had been waiting 40 mins for food. They had enquired twice already could see 2 of their plates under the light keeping warm for 10 mins. My friend went over again to express her dissatisfaction the attitude of the staff was utterly appalling. One waitress said “ you were told there would be a wait” .. they weren’t we were going to the theatre. I said we won’t be coming again to which she agreed! She also said they should’ve have opted for the carvery! Food arrived the chicken wings came with the comment “ they’re nice crispy for you” they were duly returned as inedible. Final straw was the manager coming over, not to apologise but to accuse my friend of scream... Visualizza piatti
