We recently returned to Lancaster House for the first time since our wedding reception there 18 years ago. The food was outstanding, providing us with a perfect fine dining experience. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary special by decorating our table with diamonds and giving us each a complimentary glass of Prosecco. The food and wine were impeccable, and we couldn't find a single fault with our experience.

The restaurant offers a wide range of creative vegetarian and vegan dishes for both starters and mains. I tried the delicious filo tart and also enjoyed the tofu balls with chilli and guacamole. The meat dishes were also tasty. The staff was efficient and friendly. I also tried their afternoon tea, which was mostly great except for the heavy and scantily filled fruit scone. The rest of the tea was enjoyable, with Lancashire savoury treats instead of the typical finger sandwiches.

Had a really super dinner at The Foodworks this evening. The service was friendly and efficient, a special mention must be given to Callum who was excellent! The menu itself was small but had something to tempt everyone on each course. We opted for the soup, carrot and coriander, always a winner and the duck which were both well presented and tasty. For the main course it was the sword fish and the Sea Bass and once again they definitively 'hit the spot. ' Although we were both quite full after the first two courses we managed the Chocolate and Orange Tart and a selection of Ice Creams. A perfect meal! Visualizza piatti
