First time customer enjoyed what I got. Price was a little on the high side, but maybe normal in this area.

The best Indian restaurant in Helensburgh by a large margin. Great staff and very fast service. Try the Tikka Tandoori chicken. Highly recommended.

Very good indeed. Not 5 stars as restaurant is laid out like a large canteen. Bright lights and not secluded spaces. Like eating in a school hall Great value and great for groups Not recommended for a special night out Not my type o place but 4 star for quality Visualizza piatti

We visited with family for a birthday celebration. Reasonable prices, huge variety of menu choices and everyone happy. We had vegetable pakora, onion bhaji, and haggis pakora to start, lamb biryani, chicken shakuti, chicken tikka masala and tandoori lamb, with rice and the biggest naan bread ever. Not every plate cleared but not from want of trying. Good bet for a curry in Helensburgh! Visualizza piatti

I am a great admire of Indian food but this Chicken Briyani made me think about the Indian food as it had no taste of any Indian ingredients that should be in Hydrabadee Briyani. Also rice was not cooked properly, was cold, no taste of special ingredient of Briyani which is dry fried onions. I made much tastier Hydrabadee Briyani during lockdown period for my wife Birthday. So better to cook yourself via YouTube lesson then go to this restaurant.

Ordered a pick-up evening meal for 4, including one who's not a fan of Indian-style cuisine and 2 who are aficionados. The 4 of us agreed that the quality and quantity of the food were first class. At just over £60 for a multi-course meal for 4, with leftovers, it was excellent value too. The website was easy to order from, and reception from the staff when we went to collect was friendly and efficient. We'll definitely use Masala Twist again (soon).

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"

"We booked this restaurant after reading the reviews while touring Scotland what a disappointment. When we arrived we were shown to a table straight behind the door and as it kept opening and shutting it blew a massive amount of cold air in. As both parents and staff allowed 2 young children to go in and out every few minutes it got a bit much. We were given the menu and told specials were on the board. No description or recommendation. Also they did not say the board also goes over the top of the fish on didplay. I had crab claws to start the mayonnaise was lovely and what I could get out of the claws was nice but I was given no instruments to get into the claws and they were not broken enough for them to just pull out. I ordered the turbut for main as did my husband it was a small fillet with the skin correctly removed but it was loaded with garlic butter sauce you couldn't taste the fish for the garlic. Also which was worse I don't know what they did to the top of it but it was yellow and like thin rubber. We had to peel it off it was not good. I didn't complain at the time because I am not used to having a fillet of turbut. When I have had it before my husband and I have shared a turbut presented whole at the table. I have only written this today after speaking to some friends who said i should put something on because there had to be something wrong for the top of the fish to be yellow and leathery. You might guess but I won't be going back."
