"We went to this restaurant for a Sunday roast to celebrate a birthday, but it seemed like it was the chef's day off. The food was not good and came out cold. We sent the roasts back, but they just reheated them under the grill and brought them back out on the same plates with the utensils still on. It was a really disappointing experience, from the food to the staff. We won't be returning. The price per person was £10–20, and we would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 1."

Absolutely amazing Roast dinner Sunday. There were 9 of us but all the food came out together, pipping hot and so delicious. The staff were wonderful and a credit to the pub managers. Extremely good value, the food quality was excellent. Will definitely return again

A beautiful pub with the most helpful staff . My family and i came for a sunday roast in september and despite how busy the pub was the service was still excellent ; the staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect . Great food, a wide range of drinks to cater for everyone.Visited today 5/11/23 for Sunday lunch with my wife and we were not disappointed. Service was attentive without being over the top or pushy, the food was amazing.To top it off the log fire was burning well that added to the pub’s atmosphere. Great pub and would recommend it to anyone.

We went to celebrate a birthday lunch. We were seated upstairs with poor service. The food was also very poor, as they had run out of pork crackling to go with the roast without informing us until after the food arrived. Their excuse was that they had been busy. There was no real apology or discount offered. The staff did not seem pleased when we didn't leave a tip. Be cautious about dining here as they seemed clueless. The overall rating for the food is 2 out of 5.

"today had the most amazing afternoon in the vintage bird bakery! we had bought a voucher for christmas and decided to use it for an Easter contract. I asked a gluten-free afternoon tea and was most impressed. the table was laid beautiful, the brot and the cakes were moist (the ones when they are gluten-free, they will know is not always the case) and nicely served and the service perfectly. I was most impressed with the love for detail! the berries and grapes that accompanied with the cake and salat and coleslaw, which accompanied the sandwiches, wraps and cheese muffin, added a fresh and healthier element. will be coming back soon"

"I stopped by for a drink on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was really enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and even took the time to talk to my young daughter, which was a nice touch. It was clear that the staff are well taken care of, as I overheard the chef offering them some food. This is always a good sign for me. I will definitely be returning to try their roast dinner soon! Price range per person: £1–10."

"While this restaurant has the potential to be amazing, the quality of the food did not justify the high prices. We spent over £60 on 2 starters and 2 main courses, but the food was subpar compared to what you can get at a Wetherspoons or Greene King for less money. Our orders were mixed up and some of the food was even burnt. We were excited to try the menu after a long day, but left feeling disappointed and like we had been ripped off."

"I was excited to revisit the New Inn after many years, as it used to be a favorite spot of mine. My group of 8 had pre-ordered at the request of the New Inn, but we were told 15 minutes after our booking time that our food was just being prepared. An hour later, our food still hadn't been served. After checking with the staff, the manager assured us that our order was next. Another 10 minutes passed before our food finally arrived. The gammon came with sides that we didn't like and were not mentioned on the menu. The portions were oversized, which was nice, but they were too much and off-putting. The salad trimmings were of poor quality. The fish in batter was enjoyed by those who ordered it. The main meals were okay, but I would have preferred better quality over quantity. We had to chase the staff for a glass of water, and even after being offered dessert menus, no one came to take our order. When we decided to follow up at the bar, the manager seemed more interested in finding out which staff member had failed to take our order than in solving the issue. The service was okay but could have been better, as no one checked on us after our meals were served. It seems like the staff could benefit from more positive training from a supportive mentor. When we asked for the bill, it took a while for it to be brought to us, so we ended up paying on the way out. It's a shame, as I had fond memories of the New Inn, but I am unlikely to return after this experience."

"I celebrated my 59th birthday with my wife, daughter and the team at Henry's yesterday evening. We are frequent visitors, both for dinner and the Sunday buffet (take aways also) and are always made to feel so welcome to the point that we feel part of the Henry's Oriental family. We first discovered Henry's through friends back in 2011 and my wife and I, friends and family members, still enjoy the Henry's experience to this day. We have never been disappointed. The care and consideration for customers offered by Henry and his wonderful team (a special shout out to Zowie, sorry if the spelling is incorrect) is faultless and the food is, without fail, amazing. I can't thank the team enough for making my 59th birthday complete. Looking forward to celebrating with you on my 60th."
