"We requested to dine in the restaurant in order to enjoy the views, but due to a shortage of staff we were relocated to the stable bar, which was dark and lacked any views. Despite having my contact information, the restaurant failed to reach out to inquire if we still wished to dine with them, leaving us with no alternative but to eat in the bar. This resulted in having to wait in line at the bar to place our order, without receiving any apology for the inconvenience. The food was decent but nothing outstanding."

monsal head is usually busy because of the excellent eating, cozy atmosphere and amazing intentionally comfortable by wanderers due to the beautiful derby landscape. I had a vegetarian wellington with halloumi smoked aubergine and carburized red paprika. imaginatiw and really well cooked. we had both a cure and a glass of wine and it came to £30. we wanted to eat in the restaurant to enjoy the intentional, but due to personal shortage we were moved into the stable bar (dark and no prospect). they had my contact details so that I could have seen before if we wanted to feed with them, but they didn't. so we had no opportunity to eat there. that meant that you had a snake on the bar. there was no excuse. eating was okay, but not especially special.
