Neue Schranne - Piatti

This small restaurant has a great kitchen with Franconia foods, but the thing that I enjoyed the most is the variety of excellent monastery beers they have on tap. Great staff. Enjoy your visit

Here a quick review for our English speaking visitors in Schweinfurt. This is a good place if you like good beer and zesty bavarian food. Prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere is nice although a bit noisy. They also have a nice little beer garden for hot days. Make sure you make a reservation.

I find that eating ok and then for the price unfortunately too expensive. I also find it a scandal that eating here is very quickly cold, as the tellers are not preheated. my overall conclusion is not so good, and I am therefore no longer here so often.

I visit this restaurant twice a year, and feel its time to submit this review. It is simply the best restaurant for German food and beer within a 50km radius of Schweinfurt. Over the years, I have eaten most of the entrees on the menu and have not been disappointed. Each is excellent. I especially enjoy visiting in the summer and sitting outside in their triangular shaped beer garden. The price is right, the service is friendly, the food is delicious and the beer is excellent, what more can I say. Go there.

I visited this establishment in 2011 and tried Kloister Kruezburg beer for the first time. In my opinion one of the best beers I have had the pleasure of drinking. Well, 6 years later I finally returned and the same lady was there at the door too. I asked if they had that beer and it was on tap ( I think it always is). So my co-worker took a seat out in the beer garden and enjoyed a mug. Seriously, I love this monastery beer. Made the trip to the monastery the weekend after drinking it the first time and that's a memory never forgotten too Stop in! Enjoy this beer and a ranch over from Bamberg. It's an acquired taste for a smoke beer. But once you have the first one down, they go down easily...

Visited there twice - not disappointed at all. Food is local standard fare: while the sausages were nothing to write home about, just about everything else we sampled was simply gorgeous.Some of the staff speak excellent English and are happy to furnish guests with helpful detailed explanation. Very friendly, too.They feature a great selection of regional brews: be sure to try the Bamberger Spezial Rauchbier (on tap, too!) with its cured, smoky flavour, the likes of which you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere else worldwide!Very enjoyable sitting outside in the (fairly tiny) beergarden - but it can get quite crammed so be sure to reserve a table outside, weather permitting.One of the very...
