I made an impulsive decision to visit Nick the fish on Thursday and expected a good meal. It was not only good, it was great. Great Haddock, plenty of hot, crispy chips, homemade tartare sauce-delicious and friendly, fast service. Thank you Vicky and Nick, we will be back

I found this restaurant through Google and saw that it was highly rated on TripAdvisor, and I can definitely see why. The welcome was warm, the service was excellent, and the food was not greasy at all. The price includes unlimited chips and generous portions. I also enjoyed a glass of prosecco! My favourite local takeaway fish and chips. Fish is lovely and flaky, batter not too heavy and chips well cooked! And plentiful!. I LOVE the mushy peas . Always order 2 portions. Had a homemade tartar sauce as a freebie tonight and was certainly not disappointed. I usually order through deliveroo, never had an issue. And also sometimes collect when not too lazyalways found staff and owner friendly. Thank you and see you again soon.

I had a delightful experience with their fish and chips, which came with a surprisingly delicious tub of homemade tartar sauce that I absolutely loved. The chips were perfectly crispy, not greasy or soggy at all, and the batter on the fish was beautiful. This is simply the best fish and chip shop in Dorset. I won’t even consider going to another chip shop now. My parents are willing to make a 10-mile round trip whenever the craving for cod and chips hits them. The chips are perfectly cooked—delicately crunchy and a bright golden color. The batter on the fish is consistently light and not overly thick, unlike what you'll find in many other places, where the batter is often too heavy. I can’t understand why anyone would complain; everything here is just perfect. I wish everyone at Nick the Fish great success and a long and prosperous future.
