"Very small, but very fine: super friendly, everything was explained to us with patience. Again and again, we were asked if we were asking and if everything was okay. Ambience is great! Unfortunately, it is a little hidden we have a little used to find it. Second row quasi. The only minus point I forgive is the portion size. So I personally found them very small. Tastefully good. My personal highlight was the cake! Rarely eaten a delicious cake as dessert. All in all highly recommended!!!"

"And I was glad I did. I was alone, so I went in and was seated in the outdoor section on a terrific evening. The menu was in German, with no English, so I has a difficult time with it. With the assistance of my...waitress, she helped me select a schnitzel dish with a pepper sauce. Instead of French fries, I asked about pan sautéed potatoes which were delivered along with vegetables cooked in a filo dough, which were really quite creative and very tasty. The schnitzel was good, although the meat could have been a bit more tender. Not so tough as to detract from an otherwise excellent meal. The chef/owner came out of the kitchen twice during my visit, but pretty much ignored me when found I did not speak German. In my opinion, he should have made more of an effort.....it's just good business. All in all, a very good meal, and I would recommend Marcel's."

"During a stop in Trier I dined at this tapas based restaurant that is located in the heart of the main walkway. Reservations are highly recommended as it appears to get busy sought after amongst a strong following of guests . I was there for a mid day lunch and the Menu is a great representation of tapas dishes . I chose a trio of dishes. Recommended to get at least three tapas per person to have the full experience of various flavors . Black beluga lentil salad is a must . New favorite legume for me ! Shrimp were perfectly cooked and sardines are just right and not overpowering. Side portion of bread homemade aioli take the dishes to another level by adding extra flavors . Restaurant has excellent selection of wines, and owners can help recommend a pairing based on flavor profiles . They were very kind to let me sample 3 wines before selecting my final choice of a Barahonda Barrica Syrah that complemented the entire meal perfectly . Quality of food is top , attention to details, Service was great and owners extremely friendly and kind . Restaurant has a selection of of products for purchase including wines. A real gem for the city 100% I Will be coming back next time I am in the area ."

"Meine Frau und ich gehen so 2-3 mal im Monat zum Frankenturm. Quasi Stammgäste. Hier gibt es gutes Essen und als Krönung zum Schluss immer eine Grappa aufs Haus.Vor 3 Wochen nicht mehr. Beim Personal gab es Wechsel. Nicht schlimm, vielleicht vergessen.Gestern war ich ohne meine Frau dort. Beim Bezahlen merkte ich, dass wieder jeder Gast gefragt wurde wegen der Grappa.........ausser mir. Ich wurde sogar ignoriert, was daran zu erkennen war, dass der Kellner immer den anderen Durchgang benutzte.Tut mir leid, das wars dann. Kunde 2. Klasse kann ich überall werden."

"on the beautiful maismarkt in trier lies this modern and qualitatiw good restaurant, which pampered and also its guests with fresh Mediterranean oriented satisfied. the dishes we ordered were tasteful and visually very good. the young dedicated service team is flotted to the place and during serving was also pointed out the various spicy on the table. the ladies in the service are very friendly, which unfortunately is no longer in gastronomy. five stars to forgive for this situation is not difficult for me."

"Das Restaurant war mal gut, hat aber ziemlich nachgelassen. Wir waren dieses Mal sehr enttäuscht. Da das Menü recht übersichtlich ist, sollte man doch erwarten können, daß bei den Preisen auch die Qualität stimmt. Der bestellte Wein wurde verwechselt und dann am Ende doch mit vielen Ausreden umgetauscht, allerdings mit anderem Jahrgang. In einem guten Restaurant würde ich einen Hinweis erwarten. Das Fleisch war nur als Mitbringsel für den Hund eine gute Entscheidung. Parüren wurden nicht sauber entfernt. Zwiebeln scheinen im Moment das vorherrschende Gemüse zu sein. Das Dessert war dann noch das Beste. sonst wäre diese Bewertung richtig schlecht ausgefallen. Dafür kann man mal hingehen."

"Waren spontan dort. Restaurant ist fast leer gewesen. Location nicht die schönste. Sushi wurde frisch zubereitet. Gute Qualität und auch sehr schmackhaft. Preise sind angemessen. Bedienung ist freundlich gewesen. Etwas lange Wartezeit, da nur ein Koch das ganze zubereitet hat. Da es keine Bestellung vor unserer gab, war unsere Wartezeit akzeptabel. Die Gäste, die nach uns kamen (eine Relativ große Bestellung zur Abholung und wenige Minuten später eine Gruppe mit 5 Personen) mussten leider sehr lange warten. "Wir besuchten das Lokal zum wiederholten Mal, da wir dort nocht nicht enttäuscht wurden. Das war diesesmal definitiv anders. Steack und Schnitzel Hawaii wurde bestellt, beides mit Pommes und Salat. Es dauerte schon bis wir eine Karte bekamen und die Getränkebestellung aufgeben konnten. Aber darüber sahen wir hinweg, obwohl die Bedienung viermal an uns vorbeilief und erst beim fünftenmal die Karte brachte. Als erstes kam der Salat den wir als fad und lieblos angemacht fanden. Der Gipfel war jedoch das Steak meines Mannes das mit verbrannten Zwiebeln gespickt war. Welche und halbrohen Zwiebeln versteckt waren. Also gab es Steak (dies war von einer Topqualität)ohne Zwiebeln,den diese waren definitiv nicht genießbar. Das Schnitzel-Hawaii war auch nichts besonderes, die Pommes auch nur halb durch. Da das ganze schon extram lange gedauert hatte wollten wir weder neue Pommes noch neue Zwiebeln. Die Bedienung fragte nach ob alles in Ordnung sei und ein Wink auf die Zwiebeln und sie entschuldigte sich und bot einen Kaffee als Entschädigung an. Wurde angenommen, aber nochmal werden wir wohl eher nicht wiederkommen.Aufgefalken ist uns das auch kein Tisch das Essen gleichzeitig serviert bekam. Es war wie bei uns erst das Schnitzel noch 2 -3 Minuten das Steak und nach weiteren 3 Minuten die Pommes. Das sollte besser koordiniert sein."

"Wir waren zum All you can eat im Sushi Petris. Das Sushi sowie auch die anderen asiatischen Gerichte waren wirklich sehr lecker. Es wurde immer genügend aufgefüllt, so dass man eigentlich immer, das bekommen hat, was man wollte, ohne lange warten zu müssen. Auch die süßen Variationen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Der Preis absolut günstig! das Essen mega! Die Bedienung ist auch super freundlich, spricht auch sehr gut deutsch! Ich werde sicherlich häufiger kommen"

"Sushi Trier has a very large selection of sushi varieties and also some other Japanese dishes. The sushi tastes very good and the portions are, typical of sushi, quite extensive. Japanese drinks are also offered. Compared to other sushi shops, prices are quite favourable. If you want to eat on site, a table reservation is really useful because the restaurant has been full 20 minutes after the opening. However, all dishes are also pre-adjustable for taking. A visit is definitely worth it; also to get a change from the German cuisine of many restaurants in Trier."

"Das Restaurant wird zu hoch bewertet. Sicher, das Essen ist gut. Doch es gibt in Trier viel bessere Restaurants. Alles in allem waren wir hier zwei drei mal essen, doch das beste Restaurant ist es nicht. Die Lage in der Fußgängerzone ist ideal, wenn man zwischen dem Einkaufen etwas kleines zu mittag essen möchte. Für ein Abendessen gehen wir wo anders hin. Der Service war professionell. Preis Leistung gut. Wein in Ordnung. Bei den Speisen waren meist zufrieden, enttäuscht waren wir nur einmal vom Hühnerfrikassee, das sehr sehr wässrig war. Der Rest war immer gut. Drinnen gibt es leider nur wenig Tageslicht. Das ganze ist doch sehr bieder und irgendwie will es schicker sein, als es ist. Was definitiv fehlt ist persönliche Ansprache und Charakter.Die besten Restaurants in meiner Nähe"

"Ein Satz mit X Ich esse gerne asiatisch, aber das hier war seit langem wieder eine Enttäuschung. 5€ für die kleinsten Nem die ich je bei einem Asiaten hatte. 5€ für Wan Tan wo jedwede Hühnchen-Füllung gefehlt hat, war komplett nur Teig und trocken. 11,50€ für Gon Chow Ho, wo fast überwiegend nur Bambus-Sprossen, zu wenig Nudeln und das ganze einfach ölig und fad geschmeckt hat. Dabei hat mir ein Kollege der dort Mittagstisch essen war den Laden als Geheim-Tipp genannt und meinte auch gerade, dass darf eigentlich nicht sein bei ihm wäre alles guter Qualität mittags gewesen. Vielleicht sollte man wohl nicht 30 Minuten vor Ladenschluss bestellen... Achja, die 1,80€ Lieferkosten sollte man vielleicht auch auf der Website erwähnen oder zumindest am Telefon."

"Auch wir sollten am 1.Weihnachtsfeiertag mit 6 Personen in die Tapas-Bar gesetzt werden. Dies lehnten wir aus den von anderen Kritikern hier bereits genannten Gründen ab. Wir hatten ja auch nicht dort, sondern im Restaurant reserviert. Der Umgang mit dieser Tatsache und uns im weiteren Verlauf war unvorstellbar. Schließlich verließen wir das Lokal. Egal. Allerdings fällt doch der Umgang mit Kritik (auch hier) sehr auf. Nie erlebte man eine solche Kritikunfähigkeit. Gäste zu beschimpfen und diesen immer wenig wohlwollend zu begegnen scheint hier Usus zu sein. Naja, vielleicht der Zeit geschuldet. Vielleicht aber auch einfach nur Arroganz und Überheblichkeit."

"I just can recommend this restaurant. It´s neither old nor shabby!! It´s a warm an cosy atmosphere with candles and geek music playing with a classic greek interior. Places like these are hard to find nowadays as most locations are modern and look more or...less all the same. You get a free welcome Ouzo, the food is fantastic also homemade Tzatziki Sauce and Saladsauce for a very fair price and after the food they even offered us another free drink roseliquere with a figg insideyummy!. You really feel welcome here and it´s just nice to spend a nice evening in this location. We will definately come back! The Restaurant is not far away from the city center but I guess not very much tourists find their way there, because it´s not in the pedestrian zone. It has a small, free parking garage, which is very practical because it´s hard to find parking spaces in the area"

"Eine echte Entdeckung - auch wenn der Eingang erst mal abschreckend war, waren wir, sobald wir Gastraum und herrliche Terrasse mit blühendem Kirschbaum und Magnolie sahen, sehr angetan von diesem Ort etwas außerhalb von Trier. Mit dem Auto ist man in 10 min hier und es lohnt sich. Überaus schmackhaftes Essen, große Portionen (auch wenn das an sich nicht ein wichtiges Kriterium ist, freut man sich darüber, wenn das Essen soooo lecker ist), kreative Küche, toll abgeschmeckte, bodenständige Gerichte. Hier beherrscht man die Kunst guter und nicht abgehobener Küche. Und die Weine waren ein Traum. Summa summarum: Hingehen!"

"Hmmm...bit of an odd one this. Near to the Porta Nigra and the Stadtmuseum and only seconds away from our rental apartment, we could have visited more often but I’m afraid some aspects were a little lacking. Our landlord recommended it as a nice place...to take a drink and its reputation was enhanced when we discovered that it had a large screen TV outdoors where we could watch the World Cup. What could go wrong? Well on the evening of our visit, the very hardworking waiter approached and we asked for the drinks menu. It arrived promptly and from it I selected a bottle of wine. My wife also said that she wouldn’t mind something light to nibble on as we drank it. So when the waiter returned, I ordered the wine and asked about the possibility of a small cheese plate to go with it. He said they had such and left to collect our order. On his return he apologetically explained that my wine choice was not available and began to list some alternatives. As soon as I heard the name “JJ Prüm” I was in a first rank producer. He returned with the wine and the mixed plate and we tucked in. The food wasn’t bad and for good value but it was a little strange. There was some soso Mozzarella and decent Brie in the cheese section, as well as a small amount of Parmesan on the rocket salad. The rest of the platter consisted of two tiny “bruschetta” and three accompanying sauces some sweet mustard, a dressing with what I took to be Balsamic vinegar and a strange tasting pesto which tasted less of basil and more of rocket. There were also a few olives and a bread basket but for it could have been worse. The wine was very, very good and when finished I asked if I could have an espresso and a grappa. The waiter left and again, apologised that they had no grappa, so I asked for some of the local “grappa” Trester which they also didn’t have. So to save further trips to the bar, I asked what did they have, and settled on a Williams. Coffee was decent though. I have to stress that the service from the waiter was excellent and he was really dashing about all evening it was a very busy night. We returned the next day for an espresso and was attended to by a young lady who seemed to be in a perpetual state of irritation. It didn’t impact on our coffee but it was interesting to watch. Everybody is entitled to a bad day I suppose but there are plenty of alternative places nearby where you can also get good coffee so the owners may want to bear this in mind. It was OK I suppose"
