Nice food which was slightly pricey but pretty good.As a picky eater and celiac there was still a lot of options for me and the staff were accommodating and helpful.

Very knowledgeable waitress who had championed always having a GF beer on tap. Excellent burger with a GF bun and a mound of seasoned chips done in a separate fryer. Expensive but excellent.

We enjoyed gluten-free buns and BBQ pulled pork with a delicious sauce. It paired wonderfully with a great cocktail and cider, making for a perfect meal. This is a charming little place to stop by while exploring the area. Visualizza piatti

Amazing experience, super knowledgeable and comforting staff. Felt really safe from the offset. The menu doesn't mark things as gluten free but almost everything can be made GF if requested, apart from the fried chicken. I had the baby back ribs pitmaster tray which was a HUGE amount of food. Great feeling to have something dirty and naughty as a coeliac for once. Felt completely fine after apart from being way too full. Would 100% recommend!!

Our waitress had a good knowledge of coeliac and put us at ease when answering any questions. GF options weren’t marked but she went through the menu and told us what could be made gf (most of the menu) and reassured us that they would prevent cross-contamination and that they had a separate frier for chips. They also had two gluten-free beers on tap. She definitely knew what she was talking about and I felt very safe eating there. The food was very good too.

I had the cauliflower cabbage with smoky beans and fries, pickles and sauces. I really enjoyed it, but I had a few problems. first was the cauliflower huge, like massive. I think if they cut it in the half or make art of steaks with it would be much better, no possibility could I eat the full cauliflower and two sides. secondly, it took quite a bit of salt, but once I added it was good. the homemade sauces are really nice and I think for the amount of food I had £14 was reasonable, but would rather pay £10 for less cauliflower, I struggle left to go I was that full Visualizza piatti

here in the last month the pommes with the homemade pulled jackfruit burger were quite awesome, like the premium burger, best I had in the old. try the grill again. the atmosphere in the restaurant bar is good, there is a hidden sitting area for the bar down, a look worth it, it is york underground history worth seeing. update: visited last night. had the roasted diceed cauliflower. I've never eaten a whole cauliflower and I haven't. had only fled about three. totally amazing, like the sides that came with him, I had pommes and smoked beans. £14 total bargain, couldn't eat anything amazing.

The friendly and knowledgeable waitress let us know that nearly everything on the menu can be made gluten-free, except for the sausages and fried chicken. She informed the kitchen about our coeliac condition and made sure to address any questions we had. There were two vegetarian and vegan burger options; I chose the jackfruit burger, which was incredibly flavorful and came with a generous portion of chips (fried in a gluten-free fryer) and a gluten-free bun. They even had two gluten-free beers on tap, which is quite rare to find. The restaurant featured a lot of local dishes and had a cozy atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic meal!

Absolutely amazing !! When I told the waiter that I was a celiac he went and let the chef know. The chef then came out and spoke to me personally. He explained everything on the menu letting me know what was safe and what was not. The chef was excellent and explained that they have separate surfaces and fryers for gluten free. One of his friends has celiacs disease so understood the cross contamination risks etc but assured me he does everything he can to keep it all separate. I had no reaction to the food and I’m really sensitive to cross contamination. The food was delicious and amazing portions sizes! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting/ living in York.
