The parking was better at their previous location at the end of Lord Street, but the new building and ambience at the old Ask restaurant in the Old Bank are very nice.

"Heard so many excellent reviews about this place I thought I 'd pop in and see what all the fuss is about. And I wasn 't disappointed. My GP has given me some tips lately, like leave the sugar out of your tea and seek the places that serve gluten free bread so I consider myself something of a fussy eater. None of which fazed the staff here in any way, shape or form. They had gluten free toast readily to hand and never batted an eyelid at my request for honey in my tea. But everything I 'd read about their Full English Breakfast turned out to be true. It was delicious. And the staff really pride themselves on their warmth and their ability to be helpful. Jen has perhaps the warmest smile and kindest nature in Southport. If I was being a nuisance with my camera (and I usually am) she never showed me anything except her huge and ready smile, and it was such a joy to be treated with such appreciation and kindness. The word of mouth reviews all call this place one of Southport 's hidden gems and I can understand why. I really will be back, if only because the lunch menu looks even better than the incredible breakfast. And the welcome that Peter, Jen and Katrina offer is stunning. "My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant on a Saturday and had a great experience. We received a warm welcome and were seated promptly with menus. The vegetarian options were extensive and it was hard to decide what to order. I tried the creamy leek pie and it was fantastic. My husband ordered a large pasta dish which he enjoyed, although he struggled to finish it. We were too full for dessert so we didn't get to see that menu. The prices were reasonable. The only drawback for my husband was that the restaurant was a bit noisy due to the close proximity of the tables and the echoey room."

"Absolutely my favourite restaurant in Southport. The food and service is first class. Unfortunately since the refurbishment the new seating is terribly uncomfortable. The chairs really hurt my back and my husband agreed they weren’t nice to sit in. I think we would stayed a lot longer and come back sooner if the seats weren’t so bad. The upstairs area was a blessing as it meant we could stay longer because it was so lovely with armchairs and sofas."

"Chez Moi, Lord Street, Southport. A lovely lunch was had by myself and my Husband. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Sal, who we haven't seen for a while, what with all that's been going on in the World of late. Lovely menu with lots of choices. Well priced, possibly about the best in town. When the food arrived, it was all fresh and very hot. We both enjoyed what we had and it couldn't have been better. Thank you Sal for another lovely meal. Paul and Stephen."

"I haven’t been to Southport since I was 12 and we stayed at Pontins! I am now 62! Today I went with my son and grandson. We arrived very early, sadly the pier was closed but we walked on the beach which was lovely. We then walked through the centre and luckily stumbled across the tea room. I just loved the whole place, the decor and the ethos was amazing. The furniture and the clock chiming reminding me of my grandparents home as a child. I loved the music too. The staff were so friendly and so professional. My grandson was fascinated by their delightful manners and it was so lovely because I am constantly trying to remind him of the importance of manners. My son and I had the full English breakfast. It really was fabulous. My grandson is a really fussy eater and said he wasn’t hungry. He ate one of my sausages and later on said could we go again so he could have his own breakfast. I can safely say we will most definitely return in the future. In this very modern world of fast and bland food your tea room proved that quality, tradition and fabulous food can be found in ‘The Westminster Tea Rooms, Southport. THANKYOU.
