"I have loved this restaurant for many years, the food and service has always been reliably amazing, really inventive with good quality ingredient's. I took some friends on Saturday so they could appreciate the food but it was so disappointing the wine was excellent, the canopies delicious (as always), but the starter with lobster, hardly contained any, and the main course which was rabbit could have been anything it was such a let down and will not chance again"

"A wonderful step back in time! I felt like I was in an Agatha Christie mystery (I did keep an eye out for Miss Marple . A lovely location for a quick lunch. A nook and cranny establishment (complete with a Dame Vera Lynn room! with a perfect outside space (where we sat . D chose the Halloumi Salad (with some tasty sundried tomatoes I ran to type and had the burger (with some delish caramelised onions . Washed down with a lovely glass of Dry White (foolishly didn't get the name of the wine . Service came with a smile the charming uniforms are a lovely touch, adding to atmosphere of a bygone era. Thoroughly recommend."

"What a delicious roast dinner! It has been a while since I've eaten here. Today, i was with a group of 4 celebrating for a birthday, we ate from the Sunday menu which was a minimum of 2 courses for £32 or £28 if you opt for the classic menu over a roast. The restaurant was packed, and I thought we would be waiting a while for our food, yet they were well staffed, and the service and time waiting for food was spot on. The food wow, the meat was the best lamb I have ever tasted, really good sized portions and came with extra gravy, good helping of veg and some pork crackling, couldn't fault it! For pudding, I had the salted caramel and sticky toffee sundae. Again, it was delicious. Although due to the price, this is not somewhere I could afford to eat regularly, the price complimented the food and service really well and is great for a special occasion. 5 stars for sure. "We’ve ordered from Lemongrass on several occasions no issue all good. Tonight I order a vegetarian massaman curry takeaway. Food arrived marked with a V. On the order slip it stated tofu and vegetable massaman curry. I had a few bites and asked my husband if the odd texture I was eating was meat, he confirmed it was beef I had been eating. I have been vegetarian for 35 years. I was subsequently sick. I called the restaurant and was told “oh yes the kitchen has made a mistake” they could send me another curry. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told I had to sort a refund out with Uber eats. Just warning other vegetarians or indeed anyone with a food allergy that you may not receive what is ordered. Vegetarian options: Careful as you may get sent meat dishes labelled as vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Be careful if you have an allergy"

"Came here for brunch with the family. Held off breakfast (obviously) but it took 50 mins for our food to arrive after ordering. The staff are friendly enough and gave our son some paper to draw on after we asked. The food arrived and despite our hunger it was simply very average. Nothing wrong with average but after the wait and the price I didn't think it was worth it. Nicer inside though, nice outside area too. I think in the evenings for drinks it'd be better for our needs but if the long wait and average food is typical (this was our first time visiting) then I'd only come here for drinks in future."
