"Booked to go to Proud Kitchen as we were seeing some bands play at the Proud venue afterwards. The table they had reserved for us was in a busy position with another couple already sitting at it. I asked the waitress if we could move to a quieter table and she happily obliged. I was glad we moved as shortly afterwards the burlesque entertainment started up. This was basically two women, in turns, dancing, wearing vintage outfits and undressing, until they were wearing pants and glittery nipple covers. This happens every Wednesday to Saturday. We didn't know about it and, if we had been sat at the front, it might have out my wife off her food! Thankfully it was tastfully performed! Nice food, really nice puddings, polite and helpful staff."

The food was terrible and hugely over priced but the burlesque was brilliant fun. I wouldn't rush back there to eat but it would be fun to go as a group for a birthday or leavIng do or something.

Wow! This place is a find! took my new-ish boyfriend thinking it would be entertaining and it didn't disappoint! what's not to love about a candlelit dinner with some spicy burlesque thrown in? friendly staff made ir even more fun...class act!

Terrible experience! The service was terrible and rude. The food was so bad, I wouldn't even give it to my dog. The entertainment was a disappointment. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs. We spent £800 for a party of 6, what a waste of money!

Not a nice welcome at all... The chicken salad was awful! The chicken was far from being cooked. And the wine was dubious... as if the bottle's cork had been unscrewed already, the bottle emptied and refilled afterwards... although the wine wasn't too bad... but still you guys just cant do that. Show was ok though.

This was our first time trying a burlesque dinner and we enjoyed the lovely, intimate, and smokey setting. The nostalgic atmosphere and mesmerizing dancers added to the experience. However, we found the food to be mediocre with poor presentation and cheap crockery. The portions were tiny and the food was overly salty. The waitress was average and not as attentive as we had heard. Overall, it was a good night out despite the shortcomings.

"No doubt about it the food is first rate. Expertly cooked and well seasoned. The service is not what one would expect at a restaurant of this level (e.g. having to ask for wine list or water refill). Retaining qualified staff is challenging but the top restaurants manage that. Glass all around and close tables make for a loud and crowded environment but ambiance is clearly not a priority. If you only go for the food and not the experience it’s fine."

"My third time in the morning. I stole my friend with me, as I told him, it's the best restaurant in London and it wasn't disappointed. Parmesan fritters were exceptional as usual, and the kitchen shared our sausage Ragu Pasta (which should die for), in two pots when we said we share everything. Friend asked if we could come monthly from now on to enjoy the changing menus! Best meal we ever had. Thank you very much! X"

"Apparently they were very busy (just as a side note I booked in advance) so we were seated in the downstairs “breakfast room” rather than in the lobby level afternoon tea room (the room that is advertised with the nice tea sets and cute sofas an quirky tea room interior). That was already very disappointing. The room was in the lower ground level, it had a few breakfast tables, but otherwise felt empty and in addition the doors were closed. Luckily, another family arrived and was seated in the same room as us, so we felt a little less isolated and abandoned afterwards. The food was not even average in terms of quality, the sandwiches and scones were OK, but the cakes (although there was a selection of them) were not good at all. They were dry and somewhat tasteless. Definitely not reflecting the price! The friendliness and kindness of the waitress was the best part of the experience. She was extremely nice to us and to our dog. Overall, the afternoon tea at the Egerton House Hotel was disappointing and massively overpriced (we paid £184 for two including one glass of champagne each and the dog’s menu). The only benefit of this experience (or let’s say the only experience) is that you can bring your dog. But is it worth it? The answer is most definitely NO!!!!!!"

"Malaysian and Cantonese menu. Nice decor, well air-conditioned, very friendly and chatty staff. I had Aromatic crispy duck starter this was one of the best I've tried, the duck was cooked well and very delicious. The pancakes are big. Nasi Lenka the chicken was delicious, rice flavoured with coconut, side of peanuts and egg and a paste sauce. Anchovies I am not keen on so didn't eat them. I enjoyed this dish. Crisp beef it is very crispy cooked all the way through so it doesn't even taste like beef anymore and covered in a sweet sauce. It was like eating niknaks. I didn't enjoy this dish as much as the rest. Golden prawns giant prawns covered in crushed cornflakes. Again this tatsed too sweet for me, I enjoyed the prawns but I wouldn't recommend. Complimentary prawn crackers. This came to over £100 for 2 people. I feel like this was a little pricey. Parked on single yellow."
