"Simply giving a restaurant an Indian name does not make it authentic, and can be misleading. This particular restaurant is not run by Indians or those who understand Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, the food was stale and excessively sweet, causing us to only order starters. Additionally, we were initially served meat instead of the vegetarian dish we ordered, though it was eventually corrected. The restaurant also includes a service charge for bills below a certain amount, which goes against UK tax regulations. Furthermore, the response to our feedback was unapologetic, with a hint of racial undertones."

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the ambiance is lovely. I would say the food falls somewhere between medium and hot in terms of spiciness. Overall rating: Food 5, Service 5, Atmosphere 5. Visualizza piatti

In the basement of a once Masonic Lodge but worry not! Great service ambience, and food. The go to Bangladeshi/Indian in Huntingdon. (Oh and a cool cocktail and wine bar on ground floor too. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30

The paratha wasn’t flaky and the Tikka masala had no depth of flavor, just tasted like tomatoes. The Pilau rice was tasty though and the tandoori salmon was kind of okay, lacking flavor and it was dry. The garlic naan however was very good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

This restaurant is a must-visit. The food is excellent. They apologized for any shortcomings in service when we paid the bill, but honestly, the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service. The restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and we will definitely be returning. Visualizza piatti

Service was impeccable, waiters were constantly making sure you had everything, the owner was also very polite and on hand, the food was fantastic, in fact too much for me as I couldn't eat it all. We even got a complimentary sweet, which was a surprise to us. Will go again, best book a table if you go on Friday or Saturday night. Service: Dine in

Should've read critical reviews before visiting. Very average food. Confused with their positioning English Curry vs Indian Curry vs self made fusion ? As for one who has grown up in east midlands, fancies continental cuisines and tasted Indian food elsewhere..I can vouch your currys lack the very flavour and spices so central to Indian food. Apparent from their replies to other customers, you need change of attitude and an open mind to understand that place of origin/settlement years.. have no bearing on one's sense of taste. Thank you.

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
