The restaurant is nice arranged and the food also nice. You can choose indoor or outdoor table where you can enjoy the botanical garden. The restaurant have connection to the tower museum where you can see Giessen city.

we visited the restaurant during the summer and sat at a nice table outside. The meal was excellent and the service professional. There are options for vegetarian dishes which were as well very nice. After the meal you can enjoy a walk in the botanical garden close by.

We were there with a group of 10 people and were in the cozy vault cellar. Eat fantastic, roasted meat to the point correctly, the sauces perfectly tasted. Salad very tasty. Everything was freshly prepared and of good quality. The ladies in the service very competent and friendly.

This place was amazing. We ate here several times on a business trip and the food, atmosphere and staff were excellent. The waitress translated the entire menu to English for us. I had the Rahmgeschnetzeltes von der Pute, which was delicious, and the portions were generous. There was definitely enough food for several meals. We ate outside on the terrace a few times to enjoy the local beer. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

I have eaten here twice but more recently we had our wedding lunch here due to the prior experiences (especially my wife being from Giessen) but also it has a sophisticated atmosphere underneath in the cellars of a beautiful university building. The outdoor garden is also a quiet lovely place to eat in the warmer season overlooking the botanical gardens (oldest botanical garden in Germany).The menu is special as is the wine menu with many local ingredients and in season food items. The staff are always professional and for example when we sat with the head chef, he was very responsive with our dinner selection for our occasion and made good recommendations as our family & friends really enjo...
