Wonderfully friendly and animated staff. Great menu of German food and large portions. We didn’t order the right wine for our tastes but the list was good and well priced. Highly recommend this place.

This is an open market type place. You can buy fish meat, but the winner is to order and eat at the counters. We had mussels, fried shrimp, eels, salmon and hash browns. All were 5 star quality. A super fun experience with excellent...eats.

an amazing food market/Pastry shop canteen. I think eating is freshly cooked so it should be good, but there is also missing any soul, as many things in berlin. the pork was good, but the herb was a little unpalatable. I'd try again, but with a local, so that I could be told that.

The Pork was good but the Sauerkraut was a bit unpalatable....I would try again but with a local so the food could be explained to me.

I have been coming to this place for years. It has been featured in a few travel shows (including No Reservations by the late Tony Bourdain) and thus has become a tourist attraction. Over time, the cooked food quality has certainly declined. Now, I only...purchase fresh fish or smoked fish from their seafood counter.

this “fish market” food after 10 years away. the offer is still the same, although the ice cream has expanded to contain many more options. the baked fish, with the traditional German kartoffels, accompanied by a glass wine perfect! it is. a steh place. not fancy, but eating is fresh and cooked before spot. alternative is to buy home cooking. but seriously, save the effort. there are now roast meat options. simply the place they want to observe for a fast traditional German dishes and people.

Revisited this “fish market” eatery after being away for 10 years. The offering is still the same, though the eatery has expanded to include a lot more options. The breaded fish, with the traditional german potatoes accompanied with a glass of wine perfect! It’s...a stand up place. Not fancy but the food is fresh and cooked on the spot. Alternative is buy your own to cook at home. But seriously, save the trouble. There’re now roast meat options. Simply the place you want to be for a quick traditional german dishes and people watch.

People are so enthusiastic abut this place, which we cannot understand. The fish is probably good to buy, the prices are very high. The canteen ... the fish baked to death, the potato salad with mayonnaise, just greasy with no spices, meatballs dry, the mashed...potatoes from the pack, only boiled with water, no milk, no butter, no salt, with a few lumps of the potaoe powder because not even properly stirred. It's clear that you don't necessarily go there for the cosiness, but the quality should at least be right for that kind of price!
