"This is our first time in this cozy and stylish restaurant and we are so delighted of their delicious authentic Italian cuisine such as the calamari, tiger prawns, seafood linguine pasta, and tiramisu which caused us to have “foodgasm” because they’re so good! The hostess who is the wife of the master chef is so nice and friendly and she made sure to attend to all our needs efficiently. "This is one of our favourite places to eat. The family booked a table for of us. All the staff greeted us when we went inside. The restaurant is light and welcoming and makes you feel at home. The ambiance is just perfect and...the service excellent. Food is wonderful. Have been before end never been disappointed. We love it. "Should have been very good, BUT.... Went here with some friends who strongly recommended the special steak option, which they had had before were looking forward to again. They had it but my wife and I didn't, preferring to try something different. Their steaks arrived we could immediately tell they weren't as expected. Apparently they were tough didn't have much flavour. We commented on this to the waiter, who apologised continued with our meal. My wife my choices were much better. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought us the bill told us that the whole group of restaurants had returned their steaks to their suppliers! I checked the bill saw that we had been charged full price for ours! I queried this with the waiter who disappeared quite sheepishly returned with a revised bill with the steaks removed. I find this frankly unacceptable. When someone complains in a restaurant regarding food quality, I expect the restaurant to look into the problem, but then having found out that the group had returned all their steaks, the fact that they tried to charge us full price...."

"We used to be frequent visitors to this charming rural area of Sussex and were familiar with the "old" Curlew. However, the new owners have transformed it into a pub with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu, although short, displays a clear emphasis on quality and the dishes certainly deliver. Our group of six enjoyed a variety of dishes including cod with chips (incredibly fresh), duck, the house burger, and barbecued beer and chilli mussels, all of which were delicious and quickly devoured. Despite feeling quite full, we managed to make room for three desserts, all of which were faultless. The wine list is interesting and reasonably priced, and the service is both enthusiastic and friendly. We will definitely be returning to the Curlew!"

"FINE DINING EXPERIENCE ! Had a beautiful meal at the Prince of Kent for the first time after having a disappointing meal at another Indian restaurant. Let’s just say we were beyond pleased with our experience here definitely worth the 20 minute drive! We rang late notice but still managed to get a table for around 7:40 on a Saturday night. It was reasonably busy so I’d recommend booking. We were greeted and sat in a lovely spacious clean booth with fresh flowers. We were served by lovely waiters who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed whether that be drinks, napkins etc. Popadoms were lovely and crispy and arrived within 10 minutes, dips and salad fresh. Our mains came, me and my partner were pleasantly surprised. Portion sizes were amazing and we both admitted that it was best chicken in a curry we had ever had, honestly so juicy and tender. I had a Butter Chicken which was spot on and he had a Tikka Masala (both beautiful). Mushroom rice was extremely generous and Sag Paneer was spot on too. Naan bread was very nice very light and fluffy so we both left feeling full but not bloated! The waiter who delivered our mains double checked everything with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Best meal out we had in a long while, everything was delightful, came piping hot and well presented! Thank you to your team for your service, you definitely have a loyal customer in us, our whole evening was perfect. We will bring our whole family next time as we know they’ll love it as much as we did. Would recommend to anyone as everyone went above and beyond! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable dishes, sides were generous too! Dietary restrictions: The menu is self explanatory and helps mark what is safe for people with dietary requirements, staff asked if anyone had allergies Parking: Park on street or Waitrose, pop in and maybe buy a drink or something small (2 hours free) Do not park in Royal Oak or you will receive a fine."
