"We came down after walking all the way through the park and thought we would have a drink and something to eat before heading back to the car park. Absolutely shocking, was told it was going to be a 30 minute wait just to get a table! When there were plenty of tables that needed clearing. When the tables were cleared, people were sat straight away, tables were not wiped or sprayed which is shocking to say people will be eating off of them. Luckily we got in as a table of 2 came up after 10 minutes. Then queued in the line to pay for 30 minutes to then be told it would be a 40 minute wait for food which was diabolical. So me and many others decided we would grab a bag of crisps and a drink and leave which is what we did. Prices are crazy for 2 bottles of pop and two bags of crisps, it came to just under £10! Unbelievable. Only one til open which made everything slower. Menu was small and limited, all we wanted was a light bite of chicken wings and a side of chips but we refused to wait 40 minutes for that so we left with crisps which didn’t fill us up. Genuinely disappointed with this, we will try it again next time but if it is the same we won’t return. They need more staff and obviously a bigger kitchen and more kitchen staff because 40 minutes for food is an absolute joke."

Lovley food sat outside as it was a great day. Food got lost on the way to the table due to misheard table numbers but food came and was very filling and satisfying. Only thing i could say is think staff could learn how to make a cold coffee that would be an added bonus.

I have never been in a cafe as ridiculously slow as this one! One woman on the till, lovely but exceedingly slow, also getting the drinks and other bits when someone else should be doing that for her and speeding up the queue wait. Food average, not particularly worth the wait. Real let down for what has otherwise been a lovely day.

We visited today and purchased two cookies. Luckily I checked the dates before eating as they were out of date. They had a date of 31/03/23. We spoke to an older lady with glasses behind the till who applogised and swapped them for us. She also said 'we are really strict with dates here '.. not sure that is true after our findings today!

On a cool winters day there is nothing finer than warming your hands on your coffee cup, Unfortunately this didn't happen here. It was lukewarm at best. I could have drunk it down in one without burning my mouth out it was so cool. The gluten free Victoria sandwich cake nice but dry. Disappointing visit on a go on treat yourself for change day.

Before COVID, this cafe was great, but now the menu options are limited. We ordered a club sandwich and were disappointed with the poor quality of the thin chicken and processed sliced cheese. The sandwich was made with three very thick slices of white bread, making it one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. In the future, we will bring a picnic to the wildlife park instead.

Sandwiches were not fresh, we had the club sandwiches, the bread was stale, the lettuce sloppy, the tomato was limp at best, the chicken was grey and dry, the poor filling was sparse for such a big sandwich, it was mostly old, stale bread. We've had better meal deals from Sainsburys, which were way cheaper. 6 quid for a sarnie that was clearly made the day before was such a waste of food, money and time. We left feeling hungry and disappointed.

Our party, consisting of 7 adults and 2 children, found a lot of available seating inside the restaurant. Although we placed our orders promptly, we found the menu to be varied but somewhat confusing. The sandwiches were generously sized, but the fillings were lacking in flavor. The soup portion was small and only average in taste, while the chicken wings were surprisingly good. Our main concern was that our food took 45 minutes to be served, which was disappointing. However, the prices were reasonable. Overall, the restaurant could improve on their food quality and speed of service.

Went in for something to eat this afternoon, my disabled son wanted a burger minus the bread with chips. Nothing complicated about that until I was served by the supervisor who was extremely rude making me feel uncomfortable. Asked questions about why my son didn't want bread with his burger, he can't eat bread it makes him choke.I told her I wasn't after a discount just the burger without the breadLeft with our lukewarm tea which we didn't drink) the food arrived I asked to speak to the manager. The supervisor came to our table with an attitude asking what the problem was, I told her nicely that I wanted to speak to the manager and she stomped off making rude comments. Both myself and my di...

"The welcome we received was pleasant, although not very personal, and our details were not checked, which was surprising considering how difficult it was to secure a reservation. The restaurant is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. My husband and I brought two bottles of champagne, but we were not offered an ice bucket and were given standard wine glasses instead of flutes. The food was served promptly, starting with an amuse bouche of butternut squash veloute with a creamy accompaniment served in egg boxes. The chef explained the dish himself, and it was delicious. The second course, an aged rice dish reminiscent of a soupy risotto flavored with parmesan and espresso, was my least favorite. I found it poorly presented and the coffee flavor didn't come through well. The third course, a beautifully cooked lamb cutlet finished on a barbecue outside, was accompanied by flavorful lentils. However, the broccoli that came with it was plain and could have used some additional flavor. The dish was not explained to us. The fourth dish, which I initially thought was eel, turned out to be smoked eel and was served with beetroot. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We were served two desserts: a warm chocolate foam with orange sorbet and a deconstructed rhubarb custard with pink meringue pieces, both of which were delicious. The bill was not presented to us, so we followed the lead of other guests who left cash on the table as they left. My husband had a nice chat with the chef, and I joined in after a visit to the restroom. The chef was very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of personality in presenting and explaining each dish. The experience felt somewhat impersonal and lacked interest. I believe guest interaction is crucial, so my tip would be for the restaurant to take the time to engage with guests, even if it means spending less time in the kitchen. I did not give a perfect score due to the presentation and slightly underwhelming flavors in some dishes. I believe that in fine dining, every element of the dish should be bursting with flavor. Despite this, we had an enjoyable evening and would return if we are able to secure a reservation."
