Sai Wu - Piatti

We arranged a take away by phone. Although we did not have access to a menu the owner made this a simple experience. Done on time and piping hot. The spring rolls are excellent. As was the rest of what we ordered. We opted for take away because of the dog. But the owner would have been more than happy for us to bring the dog.

Sai Wu is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Carmarthen. They have such a good selection of vegan friendly dishes. I was so sad when the owner retired but was pleased to see they are back open again on weekends for takeaway and delivery. I had my favourite garlic mushrooms snd firecracker fried rice with no egg. Delicious. Welcome back!

Just had another meal from this excellent Chinese restaurant. As always, the food is delicious, with so many various dishes to choose from. The service is excellent and the manager very accommodating and friendly. We find the prices are extremely reasonable and the restaurant is immaculate!! Hygiene standards very high. My wife and I had not ventured out for a meal for several months because of the pandemic. It was therefore a special treat to rediscover the Sai-Wu Restaurant this January. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we had a friendly chat with the delightful owner, who was an excellent host. Both my wife and I would recommend the Sai-Wu Restaurant for a superb Chinese meal in a cheerful setting.

The owner was very rude, seemed like he only cared about himself. Food was very good, took around 45 minutes from when we called, prices quite high on some of the dishes. Other bloke who was working there was quite nice, he was always speaking positively about the place/people working there and suggested a very nice dish. Said he had only been working there since September but seemed very experienced. Overall, it was a nice place with good staff and food, but not to positive on the Owner and the prices of some dishes.

Highly recommend the ribs in garlic black bean sauce, the meat is so tender it falls off the bone and the sauce is beautiful. The best sweet sour chicken Cantonese we've had. In regards to the last but one review about old potatoes sprouting, you can clearly tell that the chips are pre cooked frozen ones, nothing wrong with them at all. If your going to go out of your way to leave such a detailed negative review, the least you could do is tell the truth. Had an exceptional evening with friends at the Sai Wu, and really enjoyed the food and family atmosphere. Highly recommend the crispy beef and sweet and sour chicken! Was highly reassured by the care the owner and staff showed to us, as was a bit nervous about eating out in the current situation, but they followed all guidelines and were attentive and welcoming. I look forward to return and try other dishes from the wide ranging selection apparently the “firecracker” rice is well trying…. Definitely be giving it a go next time. Many thanks to the owner for a great evening out just what we all needed to raise our spirits and happily fill our bellies.

Went to Sai Wu for dinner, and once again it did not disappoint. Some previous reviews had worried me, but our experience was superb from start to finish. As always, Sai Wu offers not just the standard Chinese takeaway menus that you can find everywhere. We absolutely enjoyed the Firecracker fried rice and the Honey and Ginger Prawns! Another one that we couldn't find in any other Chinese restaurant is the Chicken in Garlic Basil which tasted amazing. We also ordered the Special Chow Mein, Salt and Pepper chicken, and Crispy Chilli Beef. Everything was just bursting in flavour. Very good food and attentive service made for an enjoyable evening. We'll definitely come back again.

Ignorant people, with poor food that's overpriced. at the time I was the only customer. Half way through ordering my food, the lady taking the order was rude and walked off without explanation. I questioned her attitude and, quick as a flash, the owner appeared; he was rude, unapologetic and anxious to have an argument. I pointed out his lack of customer service skills whereupon he told me to leave. I was shocked in a bemused sort of way because it was a completely calm conversation. He's clearly not a man that will tolerate any criticism, or offer an apology. Reading some of the other reviews, they all clearly need retraining. It was surreal, I though I was in Wong Kei's hahaha!
