We were finally able to come back and the experience was (almost) as good as the first time! The appetizer selection is amazing and the Passerina wine is a good copanion of the appetizers.

San Benedetto is an excellent place to vacation. The beach is clean, the people are friendly and the prices are good. Nice bike lanes from Porto D'Ascoli to Cupra Marittima. Lots of things to do. Very safe. Highly recommend

Non è molto spesso che mi sento obbligato a scrivere una recensione lo stesso giorno...questa è la prima volta. Questo posto è assolutamente imperdibile a San Benedetto. Le cozze sono le migliori che abbia mai mangiato, enormi, succulente e saporite. Abbiamo anche avuto i rigatoni ai frutti di mare con il calamaro più gustoso. davvero bello questo posto fiancheggiato da un negozio di pesce. il ristorante è ospitato in una grande stanza piena di luce. servizio è gentile senza essere invadente. appetitoso il menu (anche per prendere via). abbiamo preso un ottimo salmone marinato con arance e pistacchi e pesce fritto e zucchine. poi, buona e abbondante linguina a seppia nero e infine sorbetto al limone. con pane caldo e vino della casa, un passante pantaleone valido, abbiamo speso senza rimpianti 48,50 euro.

Abbiamo trascorso due giorni a San Benedetto del Tronto e siamo venuti a pranzare una volta e cenare due volte presso questo ristorante ordinando sempre piatti diversi. Siamo stati accolti in maniera molto gentile e cordiale da Alessandra che ci ha sempre ben consigliato per quanto riguarda vino e pietanze. Il locale è ben arredato in stile provenzale, accogliente e pulito. Lo consigliamo caldamente a tutti coloro che amano la buona cucina e soprattutto il pesce fresco. I prezzi sono in linea con la qualità del cibo da noi ordinato.

A popular local fish restaurant that also sells fresh fish and prepared fish dishes. On both visits we had the mixed fish starter which had a delicious selection of salmon,prawns and squid. The seafood risotto was tasty ,as was the anchovy and shellfish pasta.On our first visit we shared a baked white fish served with fried potatoes and grilled vegetables and on the second visit we had a tuna steak.If you like your tuna rare mention it to the waiter as the norm seems to be to cook it through.The house white was very good as was the bottle of Pecorino de Angelis which was 14 per cent proof. Il menu è a base di pesce e si mangia molto bene. Abbiamo ordinato un mix di antipasti caldi, il brodetto (piatto tipico di San Benedetto, insaporito con aceto), pasta allo scoglio e pasta con le vongole e zenzero. Per dessert abbiamo provato il caffè del marinaio (caffè caldo, con rum e spezie) accompagnato da biscotti secchi. Tutto ottimo, cucinato con maestria, con un tocco di personalizzazione ma senza abbinamenti esagerati. Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo, cameriere molto professionale, veloce, cordiale ma non invadente. Sitting on the Adriatic coast, this remains one of the most important places of the Italian fishing industry. Don't expect too many people speaking English here as this is predominantly an Italian domestic vacation destination. If you don't speak passable Italian, bring a phrasebook, you'll need it. After a quite unsatisfactory dinner in a restaurant that we knew, we were looking for a better place and we found this “pescheria” (fish shop) and decided to give it a chance. What a surprise! You have to look for it (it is not close to sea or downtown but it is worth it: the place is simple but well designed and clean, but the real surprise is the food: phenomenal! Two very nice and gentle waitress suggested us to prder their mixed appetizers: a conbination of 12 different dishes, hot and cold. Each dish was original, very tasty and well presented.
