Bonjour ,excellent repas,nous avons pris 4 menus à 20 euros 2 à 25 menus de la mer avec 1/2 langouste ,gambas et pave de saumon trop bon et 1 menus à 32 .Tout était très bon et copieux mème pour moi qui suis un gros mangeur .

Menu à 20€ copieux avec des plats qui sortent de l'ordinaire.La crème brûlée à la tomate ou la retournée de foie gras étaient très goûteuses, les grillades du jour bien garnies et présentation soignée.Seul problème la longueur du service, très fatiguée, je suis partie avant le dessert.

Super lekker eten, allemaal versgemaakt en bereid, de haard is er niet voor sier, er wordt er op gegrild. Zeer vriendelijk personeel! Meer dan voldoende eten op een bord. Goede prijs kwaliteit. Een aanrader in carcassonne. Als je de vis niet zelf wil of kan fileren. Doet de kok dit voor u, dat is eens service! Visualizza piatti

The Cathar restaurant is hidden a short walk from Place Carnot and The Midi Canal/SNCF gare.I believe the street is Rue Bringere but it is very hard to find,but Well worth the effort if wishing to savour traditional local dishes using the barbecue for magnets and steaks.Inexpensive for such good cuisine with a fine wine list.

its now been a few years since we last visited Le Cathare, however, we managed it twice last week. The main feature of this restaurant is the open fire used to cook the fish and meat of your choice in front of your eyes. In all cases I can only highly recommend the quality of the cuisine. The only drawback is that it can become a little too warm if you are close to the fire.

This place doesn't look that promising from the outside, but lovely traditional restaurant inside. Friendly staff, good service. The waiter was very patient with our bad French! Fun to watch your dinner being cooked on the open fire by the chef who's a bit of a character. €20 for 4 course meal, excellent value. beaucoup de paroles de la part du patron la première fois nous avons étés époustoufler c’était bon . la deuxième c’était pas bon il fallait chercher le foie gras la viande très moyennele dessert fallait prendre ce qu'il restait c'est a dire pas grand chose .beaucoup de vent de la part du patron qui en met plein les yeux avec ses ses produits frais ...du thon en mars il ne vient pas de la méditerranée si peu être en faisant un tour par le congélateur

This restaurant was recommended in a Travel book of ours, which was 10 years old - so we were a bit cautious, however we 'checked' it out on Trip Advisor and it was still going strong and full of recommendations.We were NOT disappointed, we had reserved our table - recommended - ordered, and as we waited, were served with a delicious home made vegetable soup. the Terrine with Salad and my Goats Cheese Salad were excellent, my wife's Lamb Chops were presented to her before being cooked, and (she said) 'Absolutely Delicious', I had the Cassoulet which was also delicious and plenty of it.Would thoroughly recommend this Restaurant to anyone,the Bill was very reasonable, and we are looking forwar...

Hard to believe there's only 6 reviews for Le Cathare, a local institution for years, maybe a double listing somewhere. Anyway we ate here several times three years ago and rated it highly.Returning yesterday we had a very pleasant meal but were a little disappointed that the menu had changed, arguably to meet tourist demand. Gone was the meat counter where you used to choose from a wide selection of excellent quality meats then cooked on the wood fire coals - a large menu now offer only entrecote steak or lamb chops which is fine but limited to the top end set menu.
