Schmilinsky Ristorante

Absolutely the best dining experience in Hamburg. Far superior to the other very highly rated restaurants that we tried and many were considered very upscale in ratings. Service, wine, and food were superb. The best Hamberg has to offer.

What a gem of a bistro, restaurant and bar in the centre of Hamburg, just a stone's throw away from the Alster. We had the pleasure of dining in the beautiful garden with first rate knowledgeable service and excellent food. We will certainly return for another visit.

My brother and I came to eat here after I had just moved to HBG and he was passing by, and we went out late at night to find something to eat. The wine and the food were amazingly good, and the place was calm and quiet, but friendly. It felt like a french Bistro in a small street in Paris, where the chef will come talk to you about what you want, what you got, and what you thought. Truly a friendly and fantastic place to eat. This restaurant is hidden away in a quiet street of St. Georg. It has a beautiful garden seating to be enjoyed on a warm day. We had scallops and buratta to start, followed by turbot with asparagus and beef fillet. Everything was delicious and well balanced. The restaurant may appear formal but it's very relaxed and cozy. The waiter was attentive and very friendly.Five stars! We would recommend the restaurant to all foodies :)

Schmilinsky is located in a side street between Lange Reihe and Alster. It does not look like much from the outside, but if you enter you find a nice modern Italian restaurant. The food quality is excellent and the service was great. We had a 3 course a'la carte meal for two with a good bottle of wine for 115 euro all inclusive, it is for sure better value for money than some of the restaurant on Lange Reihe. We will for sure be back.

After a busy day we were looking for A good Italian restaurant to wind down. We stumbled upon this on TripAdvisor and booked straight away. It is set beneath a hotel, is lovely and quaint with a very attentive waiter. The menu was in German but we were able to figure out what was what with a little help! Just a little away from the main street. Nice restaurant downstairs. The service is impeccable, polite and efficient. Interesting wine selection. The food in general is very tasty (some of my colleagues has steak and said it was seasoned enough). I had white asparagus au gratin and shrimp risotto. Both excellent. Recommended for a business dinner or even for date night. One recommendation...menu is on blackboard, i understand there are a lot of selections but writing is so small (and in german) that you must have the waiter reading it to you.

Schmilinsky.....doesn't really sound like an Italian restaurant does it? But it is! And a pretty good one as well. The food is fine, but nothing spectacular. The wine card is limited but well composed and there is a fridge for the red wine :-). The best thing about the place is the waiter, Carmine. We know him from his previous job (Poletto) and as always he took really good care of us. Thank you, Carmine!Many nights you will have this place almost to yourselfs as it is well hidden and pretty unknown.Despite our positive experience, Schmilinsky does not enter my personal Top 10 of Italian restaurants in Hamburg.

After reading several reviews of Schmilinsky restaurant we decided to book a table.We were not disappointed! Hidden in a basement, but with a garden view in the back we liked the atmosphere inside. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and competent. A small welcome bruschetta with very good mozzarella accompanied our aperol spritz. We had the mixed antipasti and the asparagus with shrimp as a starter. And as a main course we ordered the tuna fish and the turbot with truffle sauce. Everything tasted very good and fresh. The recommended wine, a sauvignon blanc, fitted perfectly with the food.It's not our habit to visit a restaurant twice when we're on a short city trip, but in this case we made... Visualizza piatti
