A fantastic Sunday roast! I will definitely come back; the food and service were excellent.

excellent eating. very capable cook. the best leek kartoffel soup we've ever tasted. they must be able to climb an external staircase to the old village classroom, that is the restaurant. good handrail and log fire.

had been on Sunday afternoon and it was well presented and one of the most delicious dinners had so far.the gravy was well worth a visit on another lever...Staff were really friendly and ensured that we were looking after.

hi visited w recently with friends family dog and baby. all w behavet!. the food was recommended by local friends.vv good Sunday lunch w generous for our meat eater..v good fish option and excellent non roast choice for vegetarian. huge teller of eating generous, well cooked friendly host. tables removed and w clean.thank them all..You deserve to be busy!

On August 15, 2021, we enjoyed a Sunday roast for the first time. My wife ordered the honey-roast gammon and raved about how it melted in her mouth; she finished every bite on her plate. I opted for the chicken, which was cooked beautifully. The vegetables, stuffing, and gravy were spot on—no undercooked bits at all. The service was excellent and very friendly.

Not sure I should be saying how wonderful this restaurant is as it will then become so popular that there will be no room for us!! Seriously, my good lady and I have just enjoyed a most superb Sunday Lunch where the quality of the food and the quantity of the serving were second to to none. On a quiet Thursday night, we received a warm welcome from the team, making it easy to grab a quick bite after our booster shot. We ended up enjoying a full dinner featuring the lamb and plaice specialties, along with some wine and coffee. After finishing our meal, we reflected with Chris, Olly, and Andy on how grateful we were that Scholars remained open during that time. They not only served delicious dishes, but also showed immense support to the community. As we cautiously returned to a sense of normalcy, it was clear that they would continue to appreciate the support of their loyal, grateful customers.
