"The food was beautifully presented, as always. Our starter arrived at the right time, but we experienced a nearly 25-minute wait for our main course, and no explanation was given for the delay. Larger tables of four were served their starters, mains, and desserts after we had our starter but before we received our main dish. We didn’t receive any updates during this time. While the restaurant was busy (which is great for them given the current climate), there were moments when social distancing wasn’t maintained, making it feel a bit cramped. I will return because I enjoy the restaurant and the food, but it's clear that some improvements are needed to ensure that the focus on profit doesn’t compromise good service, as well as the safety and comfort of both staff and customers."

"Before it was a trend Ian Brown was all about food provenance and seasonality. He's so slick at it now that you could take it for granted. If you want to eat fresh, Scottish food, cooked to order for you by an experienced chef who is personally there on the tools here is the place. Ians wife runs the room and really adds to the experience with on point customer interaction. Go! Service: Dine in"

"Higher Prices, smaller portions I generally rate La Vita highly but this time I need to mark it down as I feel the pinch of shrinkflation, prices have gone up whilst portions (e.g. pasta) have become smaller. I also have to mention the dessert we got, it was the toffee popcorn sundae. Now my wife does not like complaining but as a trusted customer I must. In the past I have enjoyed this dessert but not the last two times. This most recent time, the dessert was 80% whipped cream and 20% ice cream, should be the other way around. If I wanted a mouthful of whipped cream I would just go to Asda and buy a can of sprayable cream and eat that. But I don't expect that in a restaurant charging almost £10 for the dessert. I don't know if its a money saving idea to give the customer less ice cream. The mains was still decent enough."

"Just home from special dinner with my family. Mark the owner took time to explain the menu personally and made us feel like VIP guests. We had two small children aged 3 and 6 with us and were concerned about their requirement. Mark listened to them and they were catered for with exceptional food and service which added to our experience. The food was exceptional. Scallops were cooked to order and were the most delicious I have eaten in ages. Service was wonderful without being overbearing. Will be back soon. Margaret"

"Jake, also known as Matt, did an excellent job being attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging. I highly recommend asking for him. The food was exceptional, especially my perfectly cooked steak. The restaurant also offers a great selection of wines that complement the dishes perfectly."
