"It was my friend's birthday so we were prepared to spend more money, but the prices were still quite high for the small portion sizes. The service and food were excellent, but the tables were cramped and we kept getting bumped into and splashed throughout dinner, which was not ideal for either of us. It seemed more focused on high volume of customers rather than a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. I would recommend Black Lock for a more comfortable meal. The staff did provide excellent allergy advice and care, which was a testament to their professionalism."

Soooo delicious. I married a Texan... Iâve had some BBQ in my life and the brisket and pastrami were tops! Overpriced compared to the small portions, not the most comfortable place to sit... but friendly service.

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and ambiance. After passing by a few times, I finally decided to try their BBQ - and it exceeded my expectations. The beef short rib in particular is a must-try, it's absolutely amazing!

Very good, tasty food. Vegetarian dishes were especially good (spring greens, aubergine, beetroot dishes). Liked the fried ox cheek too. Good atmosphere though service was occasionally absent. That didn't matter since we would have been happier to have stayed a bit longer the only issue is that we were in and out in an hour.

The food at this restaurant is extremely tasty. Being married to a Texan, I've had my fair share of BBQ and I can confidently say that the brisket and pastrami here are exceptional. However, the portions are small and the prices are a bit on the expensive side. The seating may not be the most comfortable, but the service is friendly.

Smokestak is one of my fave places in London. The food is really outstanding but it is a shame that they have taken off the mushroom toast from the menu, it was incredible. One of our waitresses was fantastic but a couple of the other staff members seemed disinterested on this occasion. I love the industrial vibe but on a few occasion that I have been there it is always a bit chilly.
