"It's a restaurant and hotel close to the entrance gate to the castle Braunfels. Closer , than any other hotels and restaurants. A fine-looking, half-timbered house, nice decor inside, well-trained staff, well cooked food, though slightly expensive. Although with such a location it is not strange. Another thing is stranger – near the famous german historic attraction is located the restaurant of clearly expressed "greek" style. All these souvlaki, girosi, tzatziki and so on look more appropriate somewhere at the seaside in Chalkidiki, not near the Rhine in the centre of mainland Europe."

13:45, we wanted to eat something for lunch. Totally unfriendly we got the menus thrown on the table with the statement 14:00 the kitchen closes we should hurry. So unfriendly!!!!!

Wir waren mit Freunden im Jahre 2016 dort, Leider hatten wir uns alle für das gleiche Gericht entschieden. ElGreko Teller... eines von den Fleischstücken hatte wohl seine beste Zeit schon hinter sich.. Nie wieder!

Zugegeben, es war viel los an diesem Sonntagnachmittag, was die Wartezeit von gut fünfzig Minuten erklären dürfte. Auf den sonst bei griechischem Essen üblichen Tzatziki Klecks hat man hier verzichtet, weshalb der Hellas Teller ziemlich trocken geriet. Eine nachbestellte Portion Tzatziki kostete happige 5 Euro, hat dafür aber auch super geschmeckt. Leider war der Service ziemlich unfreundlich, was wir nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch an den Nebentischen beobachten konnten.

Der Solmser Hof bietet eine gute griechische Küche.Umrahmt vom guten und netten Service der Inhaberfamilie.Idealerweise ist bei einem Besuch das Wetter gut, dann besteht die Möglichkeit auf der Terrasse zu speisen. Mit schönem Blick auf den Marktplatz und die umgebenden Fachwerkhäuser.Der Solmser Hof bietet auch Gästezimmer an, hierzu können wir nichts sagen da wir im Fürstenhof übernachtet haben.Aber vielleicht werden wir bei unserem nächsten Braunfelsbesuch auch unsere Unterkunft hier buchen.
