"Wow, I haven't been to a café like this in ages! My partner, son, and I visited over the weekend, and the food was incredible. I ordered a breakfast that tasted fantastic. My partner had a burger, and when I tried a bite, it instantly reminded me of the classic Wimpy burgers — it was so delicious! My son didn't finish his meal, but they kindly gave us a box to take it home. The staff was very friendly as well. We'll definitely be back sooner rather than later, and I highly recommend this place. Kid-friendliness: The staff was wonderful with my son."

This is truly the best burger in the country, always paired with outstanding service. For vegetarians, there are plenty of options including omelettes, jacket potatoes, burgers, and more. Our first visit.Staff very friendly, excellent food, even offered coffee on the house.Chatted with owners son who stated it was a family business. Had lunch with the kids, very dated inside the same as it was back in the 80s tables and seats attached to the floor so totally lacked room when 4 plates and 4 drinks arrived. Lovely people run it very friendly. Food was mediocre basic stuff! Kids had chocolate milkshakes they didn't like as tasted of coffee. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

"The restaurant offers a fixed menu for lunch with options including soup, a main course, and dessert. All of the dishes looked delicious, but I decided on the bubble and squeak with savoy cabbage, beet, Jerusalem artichoke puree, and celeriac crisps. The portion size was just right for a satisfying lunch. The coffee was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. I also purchased some pastries and croissants to enjoy later, and they look delicious. The dining space is limited, but the wait was worth it for the quality of the food."

"As you’d expect in Long Melford this pub is a jumble of rooms, all pleasantly presented. The rear patio and garden offers sunny and shady spots. Dog friendly. The Swan seems to be leaning towards a wine bar, bistro vibe most noticeable in the menu, which was sorely lacking in lighter options at lunchtime. Not a sandwich in sight and the only real contender, a chicken Caesar salad, was off. I’m not a fussy eater but struggled, eventually opting for a pleasant but unremarkable gazpacho. My wife went for a more substantial tuna dish which was very good. Presented with new potatoes, boiled egg and a mound of olives it was pleasant but too much for a light lunch. Service was friendly and smooth. Go there if you have a hearty appetite but there are plenty of alternatives nearby."

"My son and I visited yesterday for lunch, first time for both of us, we were attended and served by a really lovely young Irish woman. We chose the Charcuterie Board, 3 dishes from their Tapas menu and a side of Onion Rings. My favourite-the honey and mustard cumberland sausages and the battered cauliflower wings (Superbly delicious) from the Tapas. The onion rings were big and homemade and tasty. The only downside was that the beer garden cannot be accessed by wheelchair users and the first step up to the garden is quite high and as someone with mobility issues and uses two sticks I did find it difficult but once up, totally enjoyed their outside space. Definitely worth a visit."

"We arrived here by chance as we'd stayed in Sudbury previously and most of the pubs finish serving food early. On entering the premises, we were greeted by a happy smile. I explained that we didn't have a reservation and we were taken to a seat while the bookings were checked. I think the manager must have had a little bit of a sense of humour, as we were shown to a table, where he told us that due to the weather, (this was storm Babet), the restaurant had had 54 reservations cancelled, so there was plenty of room for us. We decided on what to order over a drink and waited with anticipation for our meal as we hadn't had an Indian meal from a restaurant for around six weeks and were looking forward to it. We ordered a vindaloo and a jalfreisi after our starters and we both agreed, it was one of the best curries we'd had in a long long time. We were informed by the manager that the previous Sunday, they had been awarded curry house of the year, which we had no idea about, but agreed, it came as no surprise. We would highly recommend the food here, it looks as though they pride themselves on their cleanliness as the tables are pristine, plates and cutlery spotless and decor contemporary. Staff were perfect hosts and we'll definitely be back to visit again in the future. Thank you very much for our meal."
