Really great food with lots of vegan options , plus children’s vegan option. Good atmosphere and location. Helpful staff.

Good good and quick service. Several vegan options on menu as long as you like tofu. The nasi goreng with tofu was very tasty. My son’s tofish and chips was very good too.

I stopped by The Sun Inn while in the area. The staff was very welcoming and the beer selection was fantastic. Although we didn't eat, the food being served looked delicious. Definitely a must-visit spot when in Pooley Bridge.

The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and the pizza is delicious. My husband also enjoyed one of the beers they had on tap. The prices are good and the location is convenient. However, I have to give it 3 stars because the tables need a good cleaning and they should be more diligent about picking up cigarette butts.

Our meal at the Sun Inn exceeded expectations. Not only were the staff beyond lovely, the food was fresh and delicious and came out quickly. My partner is Omni, so finding a good country pub in the north that serves his hearty favourites while providing a huge range of vegan options is a massive win to us. Would have given 5 stars if I could!

After reading the reviews, we were excited to try something different like a tofu or bean curry, or tofu fish and chips. We were hoping for more options than just the typical veggie burger that many pubs offer as their vegan choice. The staff was very helpful, but the vegan menu was limited to a burger, sausage, or pizza without cheese (they did not have vegan cheese). The desserts were underwhelming, with only vegan ice cream available and even the fruit crumble made with butter. There is definitely room for improvement and it would be nice to see more creativity put into the vegan options, similar to their regular menu.
