"Wir kamen am Donnerstag mit einer Gruppe von 8 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern gegen 18.30 Uhr im Lokal an. Tisch war reserviert. Wir mussten die Tische erst zusammenstellen. Um 20.00 Uhr kam endlich das Essen. Besteck musste nachgeordert werden. Zum Essen: Zwiebelrostbraten Fleich hart. Mein Gillteller, 3 Mini-Steaks hart und die Bratkartoffeln kalt. Kein Steakmesser. Hörte noch jemand an unserem Tisch, dass das Essen kalt sei. Na ja, 2 sind in meinen Augen genug"

"Based on good reviews here and elsewhere on the Internet, my partner and I went for lunch to the Gasthof Rose in Oberflockenbach. We arrived at 12:40 PM and the place was packed. As we did not have a reservation, we were sent into the adjoining room (Hinterzimmer), which was no problem for us.We ordered at around 12:50 PM, my partner the cheese noodles (including a sides salad) and I the Hungarian goulash (including noodles, vegetables and a side salad). While we waited for our apple spritzers, a waiter came and asked if the three beers on his tray were for us, but they were for a different table. Our apple spritzers (Apfelsaftschorle) arrived quickly but they were very watery. Then another waitress served us soup that we had not ordered but we were told that soup is always included. The soup was pretty good, some noodles and minced meat, possibly liver. A waiter came to us with a schnitzel, again this was meant for another table. We started wondering about how the service staff seemed to be overwhelmed. Another waitress came to us with a salad but took it away as it was not meant for us either. After about 40 minutes of waiting my partner asked one of the waitresses about our main dishes and was asked whether we had already ordered. 10 minutes later we still did not have our main meal. My partner inquired once more and told the waitress that we would wait for another 5 minutes and then leave. Within 5 minutes we were indeed served our dishes by a quite upset waitress. The cheese noodles were so-so, the goulash was chewy, my egg noodles were al dente, and the vegetables came as a salty purée. We had to ask another two times until we got our side salads, that consisted of leafy greens with a bit of shredded carrot. When we paid, my partner calmly stated his opinion that the wait staff seemed overwhelmed when there are that many guests. The waitress, the same one who had taken our orders, snapped at us that meals were cooked freshly and not just heated in the microwave and that was why there was a soup and salad in between. I replied that 50 minutes was still quite a long waiting time and that we had had to ask several times until we got the side salads."

"Last Sunday (January 24, 2021) we were delicious food at the white stone restaurant. As always, five stars are still too small. A strong praise also for the friendly employees, who oppose the wrongly arranged forced closure and still open. Be strong and don't let the authorities push you off. A SUPER restaurant, I can only recommend everyone. And the beautiful nature with a lot of forest attracts for a hike. A large parking lot is located right in front of the restaurant. If you are fit enough, you will also enjoy driving the highway to the restaurant. The narrow, well-developed road leads from Dossenheimer OEG train station approx. We go out together we enjoy the nature DADURCH we stay healthy. Together against arbitrary limitations. Up!"

"we should have forgiven only three stars today. the gas house was totally overcrowded and that around the clock. the very attentive service could simply not handle this alone the kitchen had also difficulty with the time planning. yet four stars, because otherwise, the inn ambience is very appealing, which is presented and tastes natural and the Sunday service is top. the price/performance ratio is correct."

"family run, friendly and personal service. the ambiente is in order, nothing for the romantic dinner but with a larger group and/or with children optimal. the portions are really generous and accordingly also the price-performance ratio. the mixed dish is the hammer, tasty and enough for 2-3 people! all the other foods were really good, only the gyros couldn't convince me. the otherwise positive overall impression, however, in no way, at the next hiking trip in the opposite we are happy to be back to guests.Note: the sanitary facilities are accessible in the cellar as far as I can judge not barrier-free.Vegetarian options: you find something, but is a Greek restaurant and corresponding meat-lasty.Kid-friendliness: absolutely child-friendly restaurant.Parking: sufficient parking"
