Stopped of for lunch whilst cycling from Salisbury to Eastleigh Accommodated us even though we were wet and muddy Charged our ebikes over lunch Fantastic sausage sandwich and gravy Just top service

A table in the garden with some welcome sunshine. Roast beef, roast chicken, vegetarian roast (could have done with some gravy) and, probably the best of all, a cheese soufflé. A range of desserts and drinks. Attentive service. Good value. We would go again.

This was my first time dining at the Tally Ho for lunch, and it certainly won't be my last. The service was great, and I really enjoyed their food. I had the Chicken curry, which was delicious and would definitely recommend it, along with the burger and fries. Visualizza piatti

I have been a regular at this charming local country bar/restaurant for years and have never had a bad meal. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and always go above and beyond to make me feel special. Ok nice enough pub. 1. Asked if we had a booking, pub empty and remained empty 2 doorsteps sandwiches- stale bread, apparently home made without preserves, I make home made bread but it’s never fills apart when trying to eat it. 3 fish finger sandwich peas cold which made the fingers cold too 4 didn’t clear tables for at least 20 mins after finishing. 5 go back again- never

Three of us had a lovely meal here, one had the soufflé which was not huge but very tasty, I had the burger which was excellent (and I am a connoisseur) and the third had The wild mushroom and tarragon polenta. For desert there was a pistachio cheesecake with home-made Turkish delight. Everything you want in a traditional village pub. Friendly, great food and drink plus very dog friendly. The pub dog greats you on your way in and the relaxed atmosphere continues from there. Coupled with lovely food you won’t go far wrong stopping here for a drink or meal. Locals enjoy a drink by the bar and it still seems to remain a pub that is at the heart of it”s community while welcoming people from further afield. We will definitely return.

I had a pleasant experience at this pub with a good atmosphere. I had been there in the summer while out walking in the area and enjoyed a nice pint in the garden. However, my recent visit to catch up with old friends was marred by one male staff member speaking loudly and using inappropriate language for an extended period of time. His voice was intrusive and impossible to ignore, even from across the room by the window. I eventually approached him to ask if he could please watch his language, but he responded curtly and dismissively. I have reviewed The Tally Ho before and given it nearly top marks, but on this occasion I have to admit to being in a quandary. We went for a Saturday evening meal and were very excited by the menu....everything looked promising. The welcome was excellent and the staff really, really good knowledgable, helpful, polite, engaged. So, I hear you thinking what 's the problem? The food was presented in a very Michelin star style and was tasty BUT the size of the portions was truly tiny. The scallops starter £9.50) had 2 scallops on the plate and a tiny piece of bacon.
