"I hadn't been to this restaurant for a meal in a while, but it has always been a favorite of mine. I was initially hesitant due to some negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the meal was. The restaurant was busy as it was 50% off night, and although the waiters seemed a bit rushed, the service was quick and efficient. The food was hot and tasty, although there was a small mix-up with my order of prawn puree - I received chicken instead, which the waiter claimed was a special puree. I didn't mind though, as it was still enjoyable. The menus were a bit messy with crossed off lamb dishes and price changes, indicating they may need to be reprinted. Despite this, there were still some lamb options available. The restaurant had good spacing between customers and plenty of hand sanitizer available. This was the fourth Indian or Nepalese restaurant I've tried in Abergavenny during the 50% discount promotion, and in my opinion, it was the best meal I've had. I look forward to visiting again."

I waited 40 minutes to be served and was only offered a drink. The staff was terrible and very unfriendly. I will not be returning, as the service was extremely poor.

We loved it! Highly recommend Tamarind. Pleasant surroundings, excellent, friendly service, we felt so welcome and superbly flavoursome food, cooked to perfection. 5 Stars

Last night, we enjoyed another fantastic meal at Tamarind. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and provided us with a special welcome. Thank you, John!

My family and I had a wonderful evening here last night, the food and service was excellent!!! Special thanks to Abdul who greeted us with such warmth, he truly made us feel so welcome and special. The dishes were all amazing and tasted delicious, thank you all very much and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Me and my family just had the pleasure of eating here for dinner and it was the most enjoyable experience all thanks to their amazing staff, especially Abdul. He was so attentive and lovely; I highly recommend this restaurant because of him and the lovely food provided there.Thank you so much!!! Excellent service, excellent food and excellent price.

Popped in with a few friends for a catch-up and some food. Waited 45 MINUTES to be asked what drinks we wanted whilst other customers orders were taken minutes after their arrival. Drinks arrived flat and decided to leave after terrible service. Got over charged for the drinks and the manager failed to understand why we were upset about the service. Avoid like the plague, SHAMBLES! Footnote: I've experienced better atmospheres at funerals.

Arrived a little early and received a very warm welcome. Restaurant was a little quiet so we received a lot of attention. Ordered a few drinks and then starters which were beautifully cooked. Then on to the mains, my party of four all agreed the food was outstanding, I like a very hot curry and the chicken tikka phall was stunning, among the best I’ve had in over 25 years. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and are already planning to visit again for a friends upcoming birthday. Abdul, who was looking after us is a lovely character. See you soon. J.
