Very busy short staffed and trouble with kitchen equipment but service and food excellent

the airy restaurant with seating outdoors in a pretty part of a large garden center. reasonable prices and attentive staff.

We came here with our grandchild to escape the rain and enjoyed a nice cup of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate along with some delicious and generously sized cake.

Big queues quite slow service due to staff shortage. Sunday lunch looked good but they were not serving it at the time. We were not given the option of ordering it either.

Dog friendly around garden area.Restaurant has very small inside space for dogs to sit.Not all staff are friendly towards dogs, comments quietly said, some other staff are good.Very overpriced sandwiches, with little care given to how they are presented.

Arrived at the cafe at 11:10, the cafe clearly notes that breakfast is served until 11:15. As I was perusing the breakfast menu on display at the counter, it was swiftly pulled away saying they are no longer serving. No alternative could be given, and the manner and terse response from the front of house was very rude. Sadly, I won’t be visiting again.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a delicious meal that is also a great value. The service is good, with a price range of £10–20 per person. The food is top-notch, receiving a rating of 5, while the service and atmosphere both receive a 4. Vegetarians will find some options available, as vegetarian dishes are clearly marked on the menu. Overall, I would somewhat recommend this restaurant for vegetarians.

I come to this restaurant frequently with my mother for special occasions like birthdays, Mother's Day, afternoon tea, and Christmas. The food is outstanding, fresh, high quality, with very efficient service. It offers great value and has a lovely atmosphere, especially during Christmas with beautiful decorations in the cafe. Emma stands out as the standout employee at this cafe. It's rare to receive such friendly service from servers nowadays, and she was delightful. The service at the counter was also efficient and fast. Our toasties were visually appealing, served with a side salad, pretty coleslaw, and crisps. Our only complaint was that they were slightly soggy due to being under-toasted. However, we still enjoyed our visit to the well-decorated and lively cafe. Service: Dine in.
